Already heard about the Behemoth, read it too, still it doesnt quite fit a Dinosaur. AND it's not universally agreed upon thet that is in fact the reference..
And since the Bible is full of several exaggerations to make a point , very well could be that reference is not about an animal..

Dinosaurs were not found in the Bible coz the Bible was a supposed book of our faith and its history, not that of man kind in specific. Why? Because what we see is a mere illusion and thinking about what could have existed that can be seen by the naked eye would be irrelevant of our salvation and finding our true self.

Though dinosaur's aren't actualy named, there are references to them.

"Job 40:15 -
behemoth: בהמות [Strong’s H930], Perhaps an extinct dinosaur, maybe a Diplodocus or Brachiosaurus, the exact meaning is unknown. Some translate as elephant or hippopotamus but from the description in Job_40:15-24, this is patently absurd.

Why do the dinosaurs even need to be in the bible? That doesn't even make sense. The fact that people wonder if dinosaurs were even real because they don't exist in the bible is complete madness. It just shows you how people use the bible for the wrong reasons. You're not going to find every ******* little answer in the bible, people, because as you know, the bible contradicts itself.

If you're going to stand there in a dinosaur museum and stare at Sue the T-Rex and then look in your bible, see that there are no dinosaurs in there, and just refute that giant fossil displayed right in front of you....that's just stupid.

The Bible is an outline of creation God gave us to tell us enough about the beginning to tie it all together. Day 5 when God created the beasts of the ground and birds of the air was when they existed. How long was day 5 who knows maybe 10 million years. What difference does it make how long. I work in a government office that just split off another department. This split has been in transition for 3 years now. Last January we had day 1 of the transformation day 2 was last week. Are you seeing what I mean about how long a day can be? It's just a period of time...

Did the Bible mention Dinosaurs? Although there was really no reason to have much of a reference to them....it very well may have:

Ever read Job 40:15-18?

Look at the behemoth,
which I made along with you
and which feeds on grass like an ox.

What strength he has in his loins,
what power in the muscles of his belly!

His tail sways like a cedar;
the sinews of his thighs are close-knit.

His bones are tubes of bronze,
his limbs like rods of iron.

Prior to the 20th century it was speculated on what animal was being referred to here. Many suggested that it must be an elephant. However did you ever see an elephant with a tail depicted as: "sways like a cedar"?

The word "Dinosaurs" was created in 17th century so is it possible they called it something else than dinosaurs?

Some say the word "dragons" is the word they used back then.

Don't be so ignorant, there are many much bigger problems in current Bible than the search for the word "dinosaurs" and those things are more likely to become the cause of this world's distruction.

Well, the usual response from religious people is that the fossil remains were put there by the devil to decieve you.

I don't think you will get a better answer than that one...

I'm not religous.

I've asked the question before and that's the best they could do.

It is not my answer, it is the answer I have been given when I have asked the question to religious people who have no better answer to give.

" During the Middle Ages fossils were viewed as artifacts the Devil put there to tempt people's faith "

Quoted, you can find tons of websites that state this, just search, it's not hard...

The Bible doesn't mention dinosaurs. (I suspect that the Priests gave you a perfectly good answer but that you just didn't agree with it.)

Where in the Bible does it say that Internet kiddie porn is bad...or drunk driving? Where does it say that Adam and Eve ate an apple? Where does it say Jonah was swallowed by a whale?

Why would the devil want us to believe in dinosaurs? 0_o

I don't know if they are mentioned in the Bible....but the fossils are proof enough for me. I'm sure there are other animals that weren't mentioned in the Bible because they weren't "discovered" yet that are still alive today.

They aren't in the Bible because dinosaurs and men never existed at the same time.
