If you are still having depression with Zoloft even after upping the dose it probably just doesn't work for you. As for side effects there is nothing really serious, just dizziness, lightheaded, or upset stomach. Maybe you should have your doctor try you on Celexa for depression it's way better than Zoloft. All depression meds have basically the same side effects until your body gets use to them. That usually takes about 2 weeks. And I don't have any information about the Abilify.

You can try google and type in the names of these medications. I have a friend who's on zoloft and she's always bombed.... as in she's like a zombie and she's "slow". Maybe its not that good. Its usually given to people who have depression or bad cases of depression.

I tried abilify and had a psychosis, meaning I had voices, but of course thats not the intended effect. I had to go off of it after 3 weeks....it didn't work for me...so now I take solian and wait for this new med called bifeprunox...it's coming in a year.

good luck.

They both lead to a increased ammount of suicide in patients, high healthcare costs, and more depression.

The only cure I've seen for depression so far is when my few friends who 'had' it stoped taking their medicine and faced up to life.
