does anyone know how to hook up a vcr to run through a computer monitor and use it as a tv?

My ex roommate did this once and it worked great. My tv blew up and I can't afford to buy another one. I can get a monitor for free. I can use the vcr for channels and speakers, just don't know how to connect. thanks.....

your roommate either had a monitor that doubled as a tv monitor or a tv card in his system. a regular computer monitor can't directly be hooked up to external devices.

Go to Walmart and pick up a 20inch tv for $60 and save $140
