I have a mosquito net around the bed. I clean the house well, so I don't have cockroaches. I'd kill an insect only if it is able to really harm me or my family, but only if there is no other alternative. As long as I have a choice, I avoid killing. It is impossible to not kill bugs while traveling in a car.

valuable rant, cloaked in a masking 'question'. i'm continuously surprised on the variety of people on each fringe of the omnivore/veg*n fence, who sense the opt to submit lengthy-winded diatribes espousing their perspectives, and stating the 'blunders' of the different standpoint. final analysis is: Who provides a flying fig!? Why do you sense you should justify your eating routine and/or critiques? this isn't a debate web site, neither is it a communicate communicate board, so, with the help of posting rants that are patently meant to foster debate and dissension and evoke a reaction, is a contravention of the Y!A words of use. @blahblueblack: even as someone expresses an opinion that doesn't consider your own, it would not make that individual a 'troll'. study what the interest ability. The OP's rant is an celebration of trolling. it is an open communicate board, and anybody can submit in ANY section. @ Alex T: i'm particular you in common words '%. up rats and mice' and positioned them outdoors. How ludicrous.

Mosquitoes & other irritating flying insects can be discouraged by burning a citronella candle. They hate the smell, but most people like it.
I don't know how to dicourage the others, although I would warn anybody against squashing cockroaches anyway as the eggs usually survive and would spread.

Your question would've made sense if you had asked a vegan frog or a vegan gecko.
Unless you eat mosquitoes, cockroaches, ants, etc., why does being a vegan/vegetarian be a problem?

This is a huge problem for spiritual vegans. I have actually caught bugs and taken them outside rather than killing them. This is not a silly question and a real problem if you dont want to kill anything at all. It is impossible not to though as even breathing can kill airborn bugs.

What's your problem, dipshit? McDonalds reject your application form? What is with all these dumbass questions this morning?
Surprisingly, I am writing this from a location that is not suffering an infestation, plague of locusts or biblical downpour of frogs and toads.
Should an insect enter the room, I shall probably open a window until it leaves again.

I know this sounds bizarre, but they really don't bother me. I mean, I'm not sure about mosquitos, there aren't too many of them in London, but other creepy-crawlies, I just let 'em be.
Almost as if to say thank you, I never get stung or bitten by anything. Weird aye?
