Never not as long as there is still conflict; a soldier's job is to protect his country, and as long as there is still evil in this world... a soldier's job is never done.

A soldier' job is never finished. He would ,however ,get a feeling that his job is done, when the world is free of war. That's utopia....so, I guess he would never get that feeling.

When there are no more wars to fight, no more battles to win and he/she can go home knowing that they will not be shot or blown up by enemy forces. When there is peace on earth. I.e. never.
