... a guy who is roughly 15 years or so older than you.

If so, did you date him or make love to him? Or was it just a wish that you didn't act upon.

(Yes, I have a female friend who is absolutely crazy over older men.)

Nope. Why date older guys when there are so many young guys available? I find it a bit disturbing to see older men going after young women - such men can come off as sleazy or worse! Extreme example: Hugh Hefner and his young girlfriends - uggh, the site of him makes me sick. We all know that such girls are with him for his money and a shot to fame, but c'mon! He's just a slimy geriatric, what can possibly be attractive about him except his money and "fame"?

Wisdom and knowledge in older men is mostly a myth, many are just as immature as very young men. There's also the attraction factor, older men are just not that physically attractive because many of them don't take care of themselves.

I don't however have problems with age differences in general - to each his/her own - but the older guy thing is just not my personal cup of tea.

an answer from the other perspective. - I`m an older guy. There are several issues that I have to deal with.
1. I am still fit & healthy and have been active in sport to a high level all my life.
2. I don`t look or act my age.
3. I am not physically attracted to women of my own age cos most have them have let themselves go.
My last girlfreind was 12 years younger than me. It was fine for a while but all relationships like this I think are doomed to failure. My overiding thought was always "one day she is going to wake up next to me & think WTF am I doing with this old fart". At the end of the day it depends on each individual circumstance I still believe the psychological diferences are what will kill the relationship in the end. me I am resigned to be happily single from now on

Wow darlin, isn't that extremely an age vast difference? i'm 40 3 and that i have 2 ex-husbands 18 and 19 years older than me. i imagine once you're with someone a lot older you should understand that there is a era hollow. both my ex-husbands are old style men that hated the music i appreciate and had diverse procedures of questioning from me. i imagine in case you extremely like your older guy and view an same tastes and an same way of questioning that's all superb and strong. in case you do not, you want to reassess.

Hi I am a guy my wife was 11 years younger than me and my next girlfriend 9 years younger, things were good and I was more active than both of them, the age gap never caused a problem, of course having been through life you appreciate a woman more, put more into your relationship and also at an older age have the money to spoil them and treat them special.

I'm currently seeing a man I would consider the "love of my life".. and he is 20 years older than I am (28 & 48). Our relationship is very spiritual, affectionate and mature and we communicate comfortably on very many levels. I would live in a cave with this man and be happy.

It is possible for two people who love eachother to thrive in a relationship with such an age difference. It just takes patience, understanding and communication, communication & communication!!

Tough one...I don't have any problems dating an older man as long as he knows how to take care of me...I have been hooked on online dating and loved this cool site, webdate*com and I do meet a lot of older men who are really quite nice...sometimes it really depends the girl...

I think it's a lot better to have elder men, because they have more experience.
I (16) fell in love with a 28-year-old man from France.
he was very intelligent, handsome, rich, and a real gentleman.
He always stood up when a woman entered the room... (he came from a wealthy aristocrat family)
I really liked him because nowdays the boys don't have very good manners (they call you "baby")
but it's very hard for us, cause he is in France an I am in Austria....

Hmm..I'm only 17 so age is still a "big thing" to me. I know that once I'm in college it wont' matter as much. However, When I'm 23 I'm not going to want to sleep w/guys that are 38. Thats a little to extreme. I would say 7-10 years would have to be my upper limit for guys.

hmm I think age is not that important. i used to have a crush on a man who was more then 10 years older then me.(i think there are some men who look gorgious even when older).
although if all her bfs where significantly older then her, she may be looking for a father figure, someone who takes care of her... still that sounds pretty ok for me.
