Diet Coke has no sugar but does have calories I think, and Coke Zero has neither. Coke Zero is supposedly the same as Coca Cola but without the "badness". I suppose Coke Zero is a copy of Pepsi Max really.

I thought they were almost the same, except coke zero is more aimed at men. Coke did research and it was felt that diet coke was a girlie drink so they brought out zero for men.
If you look at the ingredients (yes Im that sad) they contain exactly the same stuff, albeit in different quanities.
Ive tried both, and I must say zero does taste slightly different. I prefer good old diet coke.

I love my coke ^_^
Coke Zero is the Coca-Cola companies equivalent of Pepsi Max.
Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max are not the same
Diet Coke and Coke Zero are not the same
Coke Zero contains a lot less energy than regular coke. Zero contains 1.5kj of energy, while normal coke (The closest I drink is Cherry coke) has 191kj of energy.
Normal coke also has 45 calories, while Coke Zero has 0.5 calories.
Coke zero has 0g of every nutrient (Protein, Carbs, fat, fibre and sodium).
All-in-all, Coke Zero and Pepsi max are the same, but Coke Zero is pulling Pepsi Max off the shop shelves as they are more loyal to the Coca-Cola company.
I hope this helps ^_^

One of the "active" ingredients in normal coke is caramel (molten sugar) plus sugar is added Diet Coke has the Caramel but instead of sugar a sweetener. Zero Coke has a substitute for Caramel and sweeteners. Normal Coke is better for you, in small doses of course as it is a natural product whereas the Lower calorie versions are packed with chemicals eg colourants sweeteners and flavourings

What would you rather?:
1) 7 teaspoons of sugar in every can of coke - you know what sugar is, and what it does to you
2) An unknown quantity of aspertame - the safety of which is inconclusive at best as some research has shown the stuff as harmful in the long run
Give me sugar any day of the week. At least I can deal with it.

i thought 'coke Zero' was meant to appeal to men who would feel silly holding a can of diet coke.

Probably makes it more acceptable for men to buy rather than 'diet'.
