around white people in everything. commercials, tvshows,magazines, nice fancy houses, nice cars. you see blacks , mexicans, and asians but mostly its white people. i dont understand it?? i just want to know why ?? any advice and my best friend is white and she doesnt have all them things so i couldnt ask her i asked the chat ??

okay yes you have a point white people are everywhere but many other races are representin lots of stuff in todays world also. maybe you shouldnt look at the color. as long as you are being treated fairly then dont worry about society.

Depends where you are from.
Say you are watching a tv show in India made by Indians for Indians then they are going to use Indians.
Youre in europe or American they are going to make shows for themselves by themselves. so ti makes sense to show the majority of people on the show the same as the majority of people watching it.
Thats how it is going to be successful (usually)
There are always exceptions, for example the programme Desmond's (how good was that)?
And anyway, whether it is tv, or magazines or whatever medium you are watching, presuming you are from a country where the majority of people are white then they are going to use white people and the opposite is true.
And as for the fact of having nice houses and nice stuff, the reason for that is that is what sells the things.
You aint going to buy something from a company's advert if the advert shows something really bad, if its showing something good then people are more likely to buy it.
Its not about race at all, it is about giving the majority of the people what the majority of people want and making that majority think that is what the majority wants.

That white people are rich is a stereotype that is promoted by the media just like the stereotype that black people are poor and uneducated. I just recently heard on a news program that 2/3 of black people are middle class. I think that there are some white and some black politicians that get rich promoting these stereotypes. I also think that these politicians, Liberal ones, have control of the media.

Ever heard of the saying, winners write history, the whites are the ones that conquered this land and many other lands and cultures, and they are more abundant so therefore you see their influence and faces more. Don't get me wrong, other races' influences are all around us, you just don't hear of them as much in this country, that is why it is your job to study the real history of the world and read of those that existed before that people don't teach you about in public school. I just hope you don't harbor any hate towards anybody because of this history, fortunately you don't sound like you do.

I'm not racist either. My best friend is of Jamacian decent and my second best buddy is Puerto Rican. So...White ppl are shown because the population is mostly whites. Although hispanic people are about to outnumber whites in CA...Thats just my opinion...Don't be afraid to talk to your friend cuz she's white.

TV lies. Everyone does not live like that. They want you to think that so that you can go into debt trying to get all those fancy things you see on TV. It is a trap and it is not real.

We are all tuned while growing up to see all the whiter things which has conditioned us to believe that whilte is better one.
Neverthless, if you come across an Indian guy like me, your perception may change for better.
