back in the bible days the A$s is like a car today. don't you just envy your neighbours new mercedes?
besides, being your neighbours it is the A$s you see as often as you do your girlfriends and the bible assums that in terms of overexposure you may want to treat it as if it is yours.
p.s.
if you don't understand the bible's verse perhaps this is a sign you should change your neigbours ;-)

If your neighbor, in fact, owns or raises donkeys then perhaps coveting those donkeys is a preoccupation of yours. You should get your own donkeys. Perhaps ***'s-r-us has a donkey starter kit. You'd never have to mow your lawn again..that's fer sure. You take care now. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

the guy who had written that peice of bible had perhaps coveted his neighbours *** and got betean up for that .so that is why he has written it like that
in bible new teatment its also said that
you can love your neighbours a$$ just as you love your a$$
