Virginity by itself does not make a good spouse. However, a person who is able to maintain viriginity till marriage sends a powerful signal to the significant other that (s)he has a strong ability to be disciplined, focused, and is not easliy influenced by all the muck going on around with freesex and other such vices.

These days, majority of people have to accept marring a non-virgin, but in the past, it used to be very fashionable to marry only a virgin.

I think I would actually prefer the woman I marry not to be a virgin. I have been with a couple of virgins, & it was awkward, both for them & for me. One quickly became far too clingy & needy, while the other did just the opposite & actually seemed to get mad at me for letting her go through with having sex with me. I would much rather have an experienced sexual partner for a spouse, who I already knew was going to be responsive to my needs in bed as well as the rest of my needs in life. Marrying a virgin is like gambling: you have no idea if you'll win or lose. Imagine if a guy lost? Imagine if his virgin wife was lousy in bed, or just decided after the first time she hated sex. Then, he'll resent her, & most likely cheat, get divorced, or be miserable until one of them dies or he loses his sex drive. So, no, in my own personal opinion, virginity isn't the least bit important to me when trying to find a spouse. After all, it'd be hypocritical of me to expect her to be a virgin when I'm not one.

virginity has nothing to do with being good husband/wife. In fact is has nothing to do with anything really except if you have had sex or not. The important things are - are you a good person & do you love your partner? a NO to either of those questions & your are in trouble anyway

If one say he or she is virgin, then they are lie. Virginity is not important for being a good wife of husband

No she doesn't have to be a virgin, she had a life before she met me, she might have loved and made love and that is normal and healthy. If she turned out not to be a virgin that would have no effect on me whatsoever and I would totally accept it.

hi, personally i think virginity is not to be made as an issue in a marriage....always remember that marriage is union of 2 person binded by love and commitment.

also, women may loses her virginity if she is too active in sport or during masturbation too....virginity is merely tearing of vagina membrance.

so, i think in a mature marriage, virginity should not be of any issue berween husband & wife...

No, reason why- with my first marriage we didn't sleep together and then we got married and the sex sucked, after a year I knew it wasn't going to work but I tried and we were married for 4 years. We had one kid so that's why I tried to stick it out.

No -- Since when did being a virgin stop someone from being evil, maniacal, or malnipulative.

Virginity is important to retarded societies.

Last I check we were in the 21st century, so why are you asking this question?

Men don't love girls who get around or have been around. But, they will certainly date those girls for sex.

Guys marry girls who have NOT been around the block.

Think about that as you make your decision.

(I think sleeping around indicates that a girl can NOT form a stable relationship and/or realizes how lousy her taste in men is. She also has a hard time valuing herself.)
