I have reasons to believe. There was a time I did believe a time when I decided there was no God I hadnt been raised with a religion but knew something about there being God and Jesus and my family werent athesists, my mom had stopped believing awhile, but she didnt keep us from learning about Jesus.or going to church with friends. She has her faith back, taken her journey, and of 5 children 2 are involved in church with their immediate families and have had strong faith for a long time, another and I beleive in God, and Im not sure of my one brother or my dad( but dad always loved epic bible movies) I question what my faith on often but even then, smallest littlest things that give me relief or a moment of joy,(like finding some item after looking long and hard) I always say "thank you God"and I know that faith is strong.and I do believe.

I do believe in god. I was raised to believe that there is a God and this God is one. I certainly did not convert from being an Atheist to a theist. I was born into the religious tradition that I follow and I have learned through life that for me it is the true way.
In my life I have questioned my belief in God and in the long-run it has made my faith stronger because how but a very loving God give unto me the gift of free will in order to make such a choice to believe in him and/or choose not to. I realize to others this answer many not ring true for them, but my faith is not for others to judge if it is true or not.
The one thing that I have not explained though is why I truly believe there is a God. It is real simply yet it is real difficult as well. I believe their is a God because their does seem to be a plan as I have been taught on how the Universe (or simply the world) is suppose to go and it seems to me that there must be an architect behind it. I do not know this person's (if God can be actually described as being a person) will, but I can see after the fact (and sometime I get lucky and can see a little bit into the future) the nature of his ways in the world around me. In the long-run to me it seems that good things come out of even the most horrible of events.
What I have learned is that i must accept his will over my will in the workings of the world. With this acceptance I find my life is a better place no matter what the obsiticale I see God has put before me. I have learned that God does not place any burdern before me that I can't handle and I appreciate the fact that he has so much confidence in me that he gives me such tasks as he does because of that. When I do these I find greater understanding of not just what God's will is for me, but more importantly I gain the insight more into myself and I am truly blessed to understand the gifts the Lord has place into my life for me.

Yes, no, yes, yes.
And, i first believed in God for a very selfish reason - i was terrified of ending up in hell coz though i'm no criminal, i know i have sinned (fights with siblings, lies, disobedience to parents, etc.).
But it's been 14++ years now since i first beileved, and God has moulded me into someone better. I've always wanted to be a better person, but somehow kept sinning. Now God gives me the grace, the enablement by the power of the Holy Spirit to choose right instead of wrong.
Strangely, i have also become a stronger person - used to be a push-over, especially outside of home. But not anymore. I think it's because God restored my dignity. I figured if i'm precious enough for the Son of God to die for me, then nobody's gonna push me around anymore.
I "recommend" God 100% - "taste and see that the Lord is GOOD."

I was born into a Christian family, but that didn't make me a Christian. At first, I naively believed everything that I was told in church. Later I came to think it was a load of bull.
That, was not the end of it, though that's where alot of athiets end their stories. I was still forced to go to church. I found it boring and irrelevant and didn't pay attention to anything. Then I reached the age where I was old enough to go to Youth Group. There I found that Christianity was more than just going to church on sunday and listening to old stories. The people there were different than everyone else, they didn't treat me like I was less than dirt.
At this point I began to realize that God was indeed doing something with these people and began paying attention and doing research. The more I learned, the more I realized that the Bible is God's word and that everything in it is true. I witnessed miracles from the lowly return of lost wallets to the much more amazing healing of cancer and MS.
Now, most people would claim that I am rather obsessive about my faith. I love learning apologetics (defense of faith) and debating theoligical matters. I have devoted my life to Christ and love the way that he has turned my life around. I could quote causality, and design till I am blue in the face, but what really convinced me was the love shown to me by thhose who know him.

A wonderful question...and "Yes", I believe in God...and my entire foundation of belief is based upon the Written Word of God (the Bible) and, secondly, I "know" Him Personally because His very Spirit (the Holy Spirit) came and took up Personal residency within me...and THAT, if you think about it, is a very "personal" matter. There is absolutely no way that a person CANNOT know that the Spirit of the True and Living God comes into you, touches you and wonderfully "strengthens" you from within, and fail to know it...because it's very real, very powerful, and fills you with inexpressible "Joy". I "love" Jesus, the "Christ"...Who created "all things", both "visible and invisible...and I DO know Him "Personally"...and those who know Him, understand exactly what I'm trying to express. It's impossible to express Him with words...unless it is "His" Word...The Holy Bible. Now that I've mentioned it, I'm presently thirsty in the spirit, so I need to read His Word to quench and fill that "thirst".

I have seen His power and his perfect love and He has never refused anything I have asked of Him. I was raised in a large family and the only time we went to church was when I was about 3 or 4 years old. Then didn't go until I was about 12. I have always felt close to God because He was close to me but no my family was not really devoted to God or anything. We never called ourself christian. My mother has never professed any love for Jesus. My dad was a drunk but he loved Jesus.
