Back in 1978 Jim Jones was the leader of a group known as “The People’s Temple" that was founded in the USA but eventually moved to Northern Guyana. The group settled in a jungle and called their communal village "Jonestown". As a result of a investigation conducted by USA authorities, Jones lead their followers to a mass suicide. Official reports said that 913 of the 1100 people at “Jonestown” at the time were murdered or committed mass suicide, 276 of them were children. It's has been report that Jones shot himself.

Jim Jones took the Bible as the literal word of God. Like most religious nut-bags, his followers believed that what Jim was doing was the work of his invisible friend.
Jim Jones is just a good example of the atrocities that religion will eventually lead some people to commit. He represents the darker side of an already tainted faith in the impossible.

Not sure, but his brother Tom is still a regular at Las Vegas, but now he has to walk over to the women throwing their knickers on the stage using a zimmer frame and uses a helping hand pick-up to retrieve them.
