Crap, crap, crap. I'm going through something like this at the moment--and not just owning up and telling that other person, "Look, I don't want that with you, I like you but not that much" is BULLS&^%! Look, if you are an adult, then act like one and tell the other person you are not interested in them that way. So what if it might hurt their feelings? Which do you think is better, having it out in the sunlight or always wondering what it was that drove that other person away? Wouldn't you like to be told the truth, even if it meant feeling a little low for a day, so you could move on with your life and look for some other chickadee? Or would you rather always wonder what happened to that other person, was your breath bad or did you stink? Did you say something offensive? Just put yourself in their shoes, and go ahead and tell that person so you don't have to worry about avoiding them. If they are adult about it, you have nothing to worry about. If they're not, screw 'em anyway--you gotta live for you. But you can be forthright with other people in the process.

Don't worry about it. You did what you felt was right. There is no need to feel guilty about not sharing the feelings that someone has for you. Maybe if you still feel guilty you can contact this person and let them down easy.

you don't owe anyone anything.
BUT because you feel guilty, you know it was the wrong thing to do. if someone feels good enough about you to tell you such emotional things, it is the least you can do to give that person an honest answer right away.

i think that because you don't communicate well you ar etaking out out on her, Instead you need to ask some one with better communication skills other than yourself, How to break news to some one because you feel guilty and it would hurt the other persons feelings.

If ignoring happened involuntarily, then be sympathetic but if you deliberately ignored him/her then tell him/her on his/her face that your likes are different from what he/she has.
