From one drinker to another....
Actually you can go on the internet and find that several studies have been done on alcohol and the long term effects on the body. Trust me, I have checked. The important thing to know is the difference between the long term effects on your body and whether or not you are actually drunk or buzzed after 3-4 beers in a sitting. What question do you really want answered are you a drunk or is this going to hurt you if continued? Everyone is different as far as their tolerance after a night of drinking. Are you worried that you might be a an alcoholic now? Have a drinking problem now? Oor worried about the long terms effects it will have on your body? 3-4 beers should not get the average everyday drinker drunk, but after time it will cause a dependancy and kill your internal organs Do you have a drinking problem? That depends can you stop this 3-4 beers today and keep it up for a month? Keep in mind, if you were eating 3-4 snickers to get to sleep at night - you would have a snickers problem, the answer is yes. 3-4 every night - night after night is a concerning problem. If you have to do anything night after night to get to sleep you have a problem with sleeping or unwinding firstly and the beer drinking secondly. The bad thing is that this will actually do more harm than good. Find another way to get too sleep and make it nothing that will be harmful to you since it sounds like you are easily addicted to things...

The real question is, can you go to sleep without the beers? And if you can't (which means that you DO have a physical addiction) do the beers (or lack thereof) interfere with your life or your ability to function. Also, I don't know what your tolerance is, but do you actually get "drunk" from 3-4 beers or just relaxed or what? That makes a difference too.

As a wise man once said "i'm not drunk, I'm just drinkin'" . i average 5-6 beers a night, but it doesn't interfere with my relationship, job, or mood. I certainly wouldn't call myself a drunk and neither does anyone who knows me. I also work 10+ hours a day. Dude relax, you're just a normal working man. But be advised Dr.s do say alcohol before bedtime actually decreases the quality of your sleep and could lead to insomnia or chronic fatigue...

10 hours work a day is quite a lot, and i am assuming that you are drinking when you get home to wind down?
if relaxation music or meditation does not cut it for you then having a drink is fine.
if you are drinking light beer that should be ok, there is also a low carbohydrate beer on the market as well.
all in all, as long as you keep having a physical every year and are honest with your doctor about your alcohol consumption then all should be well.

because they have fallen prey to seem stress and are looking for to slot into the faculty custom of being lower than the impact of alcohol idiots 24/7. the sorrowful aspect about this is that doing so at one of those vital age will stunt the shape of their social talents. I understand adult men and ladies those who drank heavily in college and they are so socially inept that this is no longer humorous. so they carry to drink as a crutch and easily instruct to be being total losers who maximum effective socialize with like-minded losers. If college children understand what's mind-blowing for them, they'll interest on their memories (this is the reason they could should be there in the first region) and drink maximum effective mildly if necessary. i do no longer drink and that i'm delighted for it. i'd have amusing without it.

If done on a regular basis for a long time,it is alcoholism. If only done on occasion when under stress,it is fairly normal, provided it does not become a regular habit.

As long as you can handle life and work, you are only a social drinker. When drinking impairs any part of your life, you're an alcoholic.

I wouldn't call you a drunk. I would call it relaxing. Unwinding... But you know what "they" say, If you think you have a problem, you probably do. But, I have a feeling that it is someone else hounding you about it.
