The above question referrs to the "Great Flood"- which was just a fable to scare people into belief.A real God doesn't need to scare people into belief.Only love his creation.

So we are just tools then?Boy I just love this "God" you people believe in.He is just so loving-Sarcasm... Only Giggles is loving and only Giggles is God.All the other "Gods" people believe in like the Christian and Jewish "God" are mean and spiteful and murderous Gods.I sure am glad I have Giggles!

Amen.. your right don't take the story literally and those who do believe these fables to be true need to be debated into the mud.

Im tired of fundamentalist trying to explain away a mass murderer. I understand very clear- we did wrong God kills us all. HE couldn't think of any other avenue to communicate his anger. Its like trying to control an angry at the world all powerful psychopath.

Maybe loving his creation was exactly what God was doing. A sculptor seeks to bring out the best in his art. He does not try to preserve every last scrap of clay. What God values is not the ephemeral, but the eternal. That means he loves races, not individuals. He respects the flow of time and tries to keep events heading in the right direction - he cares little about how you feel at the moment. You were not created to BE the reason for all existence. You were created to SERVE the reason for all existence. You are not the sculpture, but the tool in the artist's hand.

Maybe that was a metaphor for other things...

If you really want to get into some intense bible study read the Epic of Gilgamesh and then read the flood story and think about how the authors of the bible may have written it in order to refute the old way of viewing "god(s)" and building the new framework from which Judaism, Christianity, and Islam stem.

what the heck are you talking about, fable? is god's salvation for you just a fable too? if you think that God cleansing the evil from earth is genocide than i think you need to read the bible buddy. dont apply scientific thinking of reason to things of God, cause they arent even on the same level...fable...come on.

OMGosh, the shortcoming of awareness of atheists not in any respect ceases to amaze me! The King James ought to were extra wisely interpreted thus. on the instantaneous, it ought to were understood, yet English is a residing language, which signifies that that's always replacing, and in the present day, the Elizabethan English can stand to be as a lot as date and extra wisely understood. That passage ought to were extra wisely interpreted as, "Thou shalt no longer homicide". in case you kill or in case you homicide, the end outcome is an identical- lack of existence, notwithstanding the version is the rationalization behind the guts. lower than standard circumstances i'd not in any respect kill or homicide all people, yet when I got here homestead and placed someone raping or about to rape my spouse or daughter, i'd kill them in a heartbeat to guard my loved ones, this is part of my duty as a husband and a Daddy. i'd grieve afterwards and be very offended that they compelled me to do something like that and it may hang-out me for fairly sometime i'm certain, yet my moves should be justified, no longer in basic terms ought to I no longer be arrested, yet i does no longer have sinned both! Now- on the different hand, if I broke right into a persons' homestead to rob it and wound up, for inspite of reason taking their existence, that should be homicide, or if I were given offended with someone who had wronged me and that i plotted and schemed to get revenge on them and wound up taking their existence, this is homicide also! Taking a persons' existence with capital punishment or in warfare time, that is no longer homicide- once again, this is the rationalization behind the guts. in case you're taking a existence innocently in a site visitors twist of destiny, or to guard your household, your self or some different person, that is no longer homicide, yet, in case you're taking a existence for evil or egocentric causes for extremely own earnings or out of negligence, the position you ought to a threat have prevented it yet did not care about taking the time to ascertain the way it ought to were prevented (having your own self pastime in techniques) then this is homicide and is punishable. God initiated wars and taking of human existence on party, yet that became ultimately meant to keep His loved human beings from those who were evil and corrupt and had chosen an evil course in existence. God is ideal and unable to dedicate sin or to be round those who sin. Your premise is amazingly mistaken and incorrect. Sorry about that!
