I have never been able to understand this----
What does it mean???

If he didn't die for my sins it means I would go to hell for the first time i sinned as a little kid?

Did all people who died before his time go to hell(unless they never commited a sin)???

What is different about the times before he died on the cross and after?(besides a new really popular religion)

If he would have never died for my sins, what would be different?

Tuflady's answer is very correct. In BC times, they were obligated to do things according to Moses' law, the Ten Commandments etc. For every given thing, there was a law. But in AD times, its the sacrifice of Jesus that satisfies every condition of God. Read Hebrews 9:26-27. Christianity is not a popular religion as you term it, but it is a way of life. If Jesus had not died for your sins, then you would still be required to offer a pair of doves or a goat as a sacrifice every time you committed a sin (violated a rule)

The ultimate Truth is, Some one has to die for Some ones Happiness. If you are a true Spiritual person you must understand that, You have to go throw Hell, hundred times to buy Heaven for others (your beloved ones). Here Hell is not as per definitions given anywhere in any book , But the real Hard time that's all.

Yes!!!!! First of all, He was there when you were created. Read the first Chapter of Genesis and the first and tenth chapter of John. When Adam sinned, the unity that God intended to share with man was broken. Yes, if you sin without repentance and Jesus, then yes, you'd go to hell. It is completely unbiased.

Yes, people who died before Him went to hell, the bible makes reference to them "sleeping" as well. When Jesus died He went to hell, although we don't know the details, we are taught that He brought back all saints (believers in HIM) from hell, death and sleep.

Before He died, mans attempts to make atonement for sin did not please a just God. Jesus is called the LAMB OF GOD. GOD Himself offered Himself as a sacrifice....He held the only pureness, holiness and sacrifice good enough to deliver all mankind past, present and future from the wages, or price of sin which is DEATH. After Christ died, God's separation and displeasure was QUENCHED... so that His creation, mankind could live and be as He intended: without blame, yes, simply by believing and accepting the free gift of Jesus Christ.

If he hadn't died for your sins, you'd have no true everlasting hope and when you passed away, you would never meet God.

Peace and blessings! Believe in the LORD Jesus and be saved.

Before Jesus (old testament) people were judged by God under a law. They made animal blood sacrifices to God to atone for their sins. The lambs they used had to be pure. (very specific). After Jesus (new testament) there were no more sacrifices because Jesus was serving as the pure Lamb of God. He died once for all of the world's sins. The key here is accepting and thanking Him for His sacrifice. If people reject it, He rejects them. If people accept it, they are saved by His grace. and not according to their works (the things we do.)

Nobody went to heaven, or hell I think, before Jesus died. Jews belived, and I think they still do, that you went to the bossom of abraham. What exactly that means I don't know.

If he hadn't died, christianity as it exists today would not exist. Ppl would be far less aware of there actions, and in my opinion we would be alot worse off then we already are.

Yes, to All Christ, that's a big question, problem, etc. about your religion! Simple: Jesus only sacrificed! Jesus isn't a God if he dead! He only a sacrifice! Why?

Mostly it's just a fable to make people feel good about the bad things they do. I wouldn't put much more effort into trying to understand it if I were you.
