My mother always said to me,"I am not not everyone else's mother"; whenever I complained that everyone else was doing something. I swore when I had my daughter that I would never be like my mom, but yesterday I said the same thing to my daughter. Have any of you done something similar? If so how?

My sister, and I used to get so aggravted with my mother for mixing up names. Now I can almost never remember names, and when I do I usually pronounce them wrong - ahh it reminds me of my mom!!

Curtians make me happy now. I was in bed, bath and beyond last night looking at curtians and saw some pretty ones and was ecstatic. Then I realized I am becoming my mother.

the only similarity between my mother and me is we both have children. i have avoided, to the best of my ability, resembling her in any other way.

i'm nothing like mine. i'm more like my friends. if your young then your friends tend to have a bigger influence in your life than parents do.
