I mean really, do they even read the bible?
You dont need to read the bible, listen to anyone, or even go to church. Everything is in you, the church, the law, and love, just follow your spirt. I can't believe how many people here quote these strange scriptures and say some one is going to hell...
1 John 2:27

I would not say that they are dumb. rather I'd say that throughout the centuries society has been conditioned to believe the bible and those that "know" the bible will interpret the bible to fit their ideology and influence those around them to think the same way.
Why do you think that religious people pick and choose quotes from the bible? They do that because it fits their ideology and try to prove that their way of thinking is right.
Plus you have to remember that the bible is nothing more than circular reasoning>>god influenced the bible because the bible says god influenced the bible. See what I mean? that what most religious people say about the bible..
There are many other quotes that are pretty funny-- there is one that says you are suppose to smite your neighbor if he works on the sabbath or another one that says god will punish you if you eat shellfish and so forth...

Let's put it this way. Are you implying that people who believed in the Bible and the prophets and people who write them are all dumb just because of what you mentioned and and gave us the examples of the scripts from the Bible. Not at all. Just because you already have all that in you don't necessarily is 100% proof. You have to serve him by spreading his words, and believe or have faith in him. You have to worship him by praying to him on a daily basis. Let's make it even less simple, how about living a Godly life? If you have not done any of these, I'm just gonna have to shove it back down your throat because it makes you the dumber.

why are you quoting the bible if you think that people who read the bible are dumb. People read the bible because they are led to believe that it is the only way besides prayer, that they can receive God's words. They are not dumb, they are ignorant. They just need to know that God is a part of them and in their hearts. They need to find out what God it saying to them, for their life. They are ignorant because they do not know that there is so much more to worshiping God than the bible and church allows them to know. They just need more information.

So basically, you ignore the whole Bible except for a few verses that personally suit you. You pick and choose what to obey God on, and then disobey the rest of his word? That's like disobeying God 95% of the the time, except for when you choose to obey him 5% of the time. You're only a Christian when it meets YOUR requirements.

Answer: Because they are closed minded and believe that only their answer is the correct answer. While discounting all the other religions or lack of religion that a person may enjoy.

Once again you have taken parts of the word of God and twisted them. Taken then out of pretext and made them to form what you want to say and not what God said. True we are all part of God. At the same time we are servants of God. We are here for him not us this is what we must remember.
