Make it about you two. It doesn't matter what but don't get caried away by the weddings in all the magazines.
I had friends who hired a napoleonic fort and had a 24 hour rave - not everyone's choice but right for them.
Also had friends who got all their guests on a double decker bus to drive them to their venue - again its all about them and their personalities.
Me, I'm having a handfasting in the middle of my farm in Spain, complete with spit roast hog and me in my walking boots!

First of all, it depends on what kind of wedding you both want?Big or small? Family and Friends or Immediate Family only and etc? If you have all that figured out that's great! If not, I recommend you discuss that first. Then you can consider the places I think would be kind of cool to get married at.
How about getting married on a
*hot air balloon?
*Disneyland (definitely makes a great reception)
*Las Vegas
*Napa Valley
*India (very cheap!)
*Small Back Yard Ceremony
*There is this chapel called the Wayfarer's Chapel in Palos Verdes, CA it's also known as the Glass Church and it over looks the ocean!

I'm going to guess that you want a special proposal? I always liked the one where you go out to dinner at a really nice place, only go there early and ask the manager to place a ring in her glass (obviously use a clean liquid). She will like the gesture and love the fact that you can call the restaurant to attention and ask her to marry you.
Depends on what your girl likes. Does she work in a big business. If so, ask your firefighter buddies (I'm going whats on your avatar) have them all go into her place of work, in uniform.. have them tell someone up front that there may be an emergency... have you come in.. go to her desk.. and in front of all her workers.. and your workers.. ask her.
or.. some how get her out of the house.. for a few hours.. then light enough candles to burn down chicago.. again.. and sprinkle rose pettles everywhere (florests have them for somewhat cheap). Have two or three dozen roses around the house.. when she gets home, or to your place.. not hers, thank her for coming into your life and that you wanted to make the evening special.. have dinner ready for her.. then, make her a bath.. afterwards.. dry her off.. lay her in bed and give her a non sexual body massage.. then afterwards.. reach into your pocket.. pretend like you cant find the right.. then start looking around the room for it. Have it on a callage (sic) of photo's of you two together.. she'll freaking love it.. and I don't think she'll say no to a life time of romance.

How about getting married in a swimming pool or the sea Scuba diving! Or on a scary ride at a nearby theme park. Or at a church with a nice reception. Because if you love one another enough where ever and however you get married will be special.

Well it is going to be special for here anyway don’t you think?
Surprise her with a bouquet of red roses (symbol of passion, love...) it must always be an odd number if less than 10 roses but for exemple 36 roses is a symbol of declaration of love…
In the middle add a white rose (symbol of purity, wedding...) hide the ring inside it and write a nice poem that will end by something like this "look inside the different one for the treasure"....then ask her.....

Depends on what you like - but I got married by a lake in Canada. Both of us arrived by canoe (as did the vicar). Really lovely ceremony, Christian but also full of nature. then big BBQ in stead of reception. Very down to earth and all had great time

The best weddings are those that represent the bride and groom completely. Talk to her about her dream wedding and work it in with your idea of a dream wedding, and you'll end up with a really great event.

Take her in the night to the beach....
let your both feet feels the water and you can have common conversation
Let her talking as much as she want...then suddenly you interrupt her with a ring!!! Then you can purpose her. Kiss her as you like
Then take out two glasses and a bottle of wine to celebrate there...
