It is poisonous, however you would have to put a lot on your arm (cover your whole body) before any effects really take place. If you are healthy your body should dispose of this foreign substance quite quickly with no worries.

Sure it has been tested to be non toxic still doesn't mean you can just go ahead and eat the stuff or get it into your bloodstream. Use common sense.

No, I doubt that you could kill yourself by writing on your arm with a sharpy marker. However sharpy markers are achohol based so they will dry your skin out. If you were to inject yourself with the ink right into your vein that might do some damage but i still doubt you could kill yourself with it (unless you did alot).

No - for the last 5 or 6 years my brother has always written reminders to himself on his hand with a sharpie. He's doing just fine. A little quirky, but fine.

Ink can be absorbed by the skin, but not enough to make you sick.

No; it's tested and is quite harmless in small amouts as you are describing. Don't try sucking it dry, though.
