why don't some of em shave

I actually have a friend that refuses to shave. She feels more natural if she doesn't shave. When she does shave she feels "naked" like something is just wrong. Also, she is a bit warmer than most during winter (the extra layer on legs).
Someone I met years back also was a nonshaver and when I asked her if it was out of religious beliefs or what, she just giggled and said nope, her mom was a "hippie" type and never really pushed the issue of shaving for hygenic purposes and she (the daughter) was just too lazy to take the extra time to shave.

Actually, it is more common around the World for women to NOT shave. Americans have an affinity for cleanliness (thank goodness). Not shaving produces a greater occurence of hygiene problems, such as, but not limited to, yeast infections. Gross, I know.
Another little tidbit. Most men do not shave below the waist (if you get my meaning) AND most yeast infections are transmitted to women BY MEN.

I shave under my arms, but I have never shaved my legs in my life nor do i intend to. I'm a natural blonde, the hair is very sparse and you can't see it unless you're up close and personal and REALLY looking for it. Why would I subject myself to cuts, bumps, ingrown hairs, stubble, etc. when I don't have to?
There is no medical reason for shaving. Our society has conditioned us to think that a woman must shave to be attractive.
Funny... my man never noticed i didn't shave my legs, but he DID notice how SOFT my legs are - no stubble.

I have never been able to figure out how being a hippy and caring deeply about the environment translates to not bathing or shaving regularly.

Is is so shocking to see what a womans body naturally looks like?
Is it nicer to see woman with plastic shot up their faces, lips, and boobs?
Why not just get a big plastic blow up doll of a woman?

why don't guys shave sometimes.....I imagine its because they don't want to or don't have the time....that or they just forget. does it really matter that much, it's just hair
