Two World Wars have already been achieved, and the Third and final World War has been envisioned by experts as an attack on Iraq followed by Iran and Syria as being the trigger to set the entire Middle East into fiery conflagration. With America firmly entrenched in the Middle East with the majority of her first-line units, North Korea is to attack South Korea and Japan. Israel invades Lebanon, then with America's forces stretched well beyond the limit, China is to invade Taiwan, India to attack Pakistan. This will then usher in the start of World War Three. Do you agree?

Bae, regarding the compartmentalization of these conflicts, with the exception of North Korea, each country I mentioned hold firm alliances with some serious military players. Russia and China support Iran, whilst Iran supports Lebanon and Syria; India is supported by most of the EU.....etc,etc,etc. You see where I'm going here?

Well, you are certainly covering all the hot spots. I doubt any of the major powers would start WWIII, simply because they know it would be the end of civilization as we know it-for good. No turning back.

The big powers pick and choose carefully. They want to be sure they can win easily and make sure military operations don't get out of hand. So big, powerful countries pick on little countries, like Iraq, Tibet, Nepal, Panama, Grenada, or engage minor border disputes.

For example, Bush knows he can get away with invading Iraq because there's no major power in the vicinity, but he knows that North Korea could trigger a very dangerous situation because its wedged between China and Japan, and has Russia to the north. So diplomacy will be used in N Korea at all costs.

N Korea can get away with firing off a few missles, but let Iran try it and see what happens. Anyway, if someone miscalculates who knows. I personally think there's more to worry about with a terrorist setting off a dirty bomb. Terrorist are really crazy.

What you describe are a series of (admittedly serious) regional conflicts rather than a true world war. The conflicts depicted here are among traditional enemies, rather than alliances. For example, If Pakistan were to defeat India, there are few scenarios under which Pakistani forces would then support, say, South Korean forces in their struggle against the DPRK. In a similar vein, Should Israel occupy Lebabnon, would it then send forces to Taiwan?

In other words, this scenario as you've depicted it doesn't represent a global conflict, but rather a series of individual conflicts going on at the same time. Such a thing would represent a serious threat to the world, but unless all the conflicts were brought together in some unifying way, they would probably remain compartmentalized.

I.E. when the India/Pakistan War ends, it ends period. Indian and Pakistani forces wouldn't join other forces in other conflicts without reason.

Could be all we need now is someone in power to do something realllllllly stupid, selfish, and wrong enough to piss the right countries, say China, Russia, etc into joining forces into a fight.

hey my friend there is no world war 3 in the world. The problem is that Iraq don't want to stop the war. If there was world war 3 then we all was dead by now.
