If we suggest for illegal then most of the government will loose their money! Not just smoking but there are more items coming under health hazard. Smoking should be LEGAL but individuals can be counselled for health risk.

no! the chemicals they add to them should be,if you make them illegal what next your favorite brand of perfume?because someone doesn't like the smell or it affects their breathing to many things are becoming illegal in this country as it is,telling bar owners they cant let people smoke in their bars the ones they pay taxes for.... there is a simple answer a sign that says no smoking or smoking then you have the choice!

If smoking should be illegal, than driving a car with a combustion engine should be too. Both kick out cancer causing carbon monoxide, as well as other toxins.
Second had smoking ought to be banned though.
However, it's a free country and somebody's got to ruin it!

While smoking isn't illegal....smoking indoors in a public building is illegal here in Delaware now. I love it. I have asthma and I can't stand to be near smokers because it causes me to have attacks....I'm glad I can go out now without having someone else's smoke ruining my fun.

Good question...probably not, because, if not taken to excess, it would not be harmful, necessarily...the problem is that nicotine is so addictive, it is nearly impossible to smoke without overdoing it.
If the government had better controls on the production of tobacco, it would not be as dangerous, but also not as profitable, so...I don't think it will go away any time soon...but smoking is in serious decline, and don't be surprised if it is rendered irrelevant within 100 years, maybe sooner.

mmm for good health, yes. but it wont work anyway.
they tried the same thing with alcohol in the 1800's and even made it an amendment but they repealed it later because of disasterous results.

Yes...Im on 20+ a day and would love to give up....
I lost both my In-laws to Cancer via smoking .!!
I hate it..... but still smoke , and spend £8.00 a day on them.!
