why doesnt the u.s military invade iran since we basically took over iraq?

Its really not that simple Iraq had a decade of defiance to the U.N. security counsel a history of waging war with its neighbors (especially Iran) and a track list of human right abuses on its own turf It takes alot to get Congress to authorize the an invasion no matter what people say you cant just lie about it that's why congress is there to keep everyone in check and that's why they have access to all those intelligence reports that we don't so one must not only make your case to congress and therefore the American people you must also play to the ear of the u.n. which takes even more time not to mention the time it takes to prep for war we had been preparing for Iraq for years through training missions hell we had even been flying bombing missions through there so we had a pretty good idea of whats going on and we need to have Iraq stable first which will take some time but there doing pretty good right now or at least that's what my eyes saw from the ground didn't look much like losing to me anyways don't rush a war with Iran or any war for that matter as long as you don't run from the fights that do need fighting well be OK to take our time and not push Iran too far too quickly if war can be avoided it should be but when its obvious that its necessary it should not be postponed

We had no business going into Iraq. We haven't taken over Iraq. We are losing our American Solders every day. We were not ask to come into Iraq, like we were Kuwait. I have a son in this war as many other people do. We use to help people when they ask now we have just become bullies. We have no right to invade any country for their beliefs or way of life, unless we are ask for help.

Politically it's unacceptable because we are currently engaged in negociations. Yes it does seem hopeless but that's what the pattern has sadly been, appeasement. Militarily Our forces are spread thin and if you look on the map Iran borders both Iraq and Afganistan so we need to protect both countries from counter attack. We also need to deal with more insurgents in the event of an invasion and a potential nationalist resistance against the US invaders.

Iraq is almost done now so we should start thinking about the next state sponsor of terrorism. Iran would be easier than Iraq. But, maybe Syria next?
