Cod showers if you can stand it. Take some rags and soak them in water and put them in the freezer. You can put them on your lower back, chest or face. Keep your house cool and I also suggest getting a floor fan or window fan or both and plenty of cold drinks mainly water and a good bowl of your favorite ice cream. Good Luck!

You can buy a fan for pretty cheap at Target or Walmart that might work better. If you can't do that try freezing a moist wash cloth or small towel. It won't last that long, but it feels really good. if it works you can put more than one in your freezer and alternate. You could also get a kiddie pool and sit in that. I live on a college campus and I see people doing that all the time.

I am in Ohio now, but I am from SE AlaskaI looked at this question also cause I came from the southeastern part of Alaska, (where 60 deg is warm, and it rains alot lol)so I'm not used to the heat northern AK has.

I put the fan right on me, so it doens't bother anyone else, and also I use a washcloth and take showers. Drinking water DOES help, but you have to keep drinking it! Good luck!

Drink plenty of water and wear loose clothes of a light material. If it is really unbearable and you can leave the house I would suggest going someplace with air-conditioning. If you start feeling faint after you have had plenty of water then drink diluted orange juice. The helps prevent a potassium deficiency. If you stop sweating call 911. You don't want heatstroke.

Turn on the air to keep cool. If your Mom does not approve, then turn it off 5 minutes before she comes home. Sneaky but it works.

Get an air conditioner, take a cold bath or shower, soak your feet in cold water, have several fans all over you and don't move, go swimming, put ice packs all over your body, go to Alaska.

Take some juice and make ice pops from an ice cube container or paper cups. Temporary fix.

Go naked...j/k. Try opening windows that are across from each other, that way you get a cross breeze going through that carries hot air out .
