I wish I could tell the Dalai Lama that.

J Stew, I really meant it when I suggested you go away in my last question. My faith is not blind, and I have questioned it very much so and concluded that it is true. Once again it is not me but you. You are the one blinded by your own intellectualism.

spirituality is "sensitivity or attachment to religious values"

Without a god, there is no spirituality.

Define God? Your concept of God might not be the same as others.

I have a friend who believes God is everything and everywhere and when she talks walks God is always there.

Is she less spiritual or less religious than someone pulling up to a church in a $100,000.00 SUV, settling into a pew that's being cooled by a thousand dollar a month air conditioning bill, listening to a wealthy preacher asking for more money to feed the air conditioning? While at the same time people down the street from the church are going hungry?

You tell me which one God smiles down upon?

No, it is not.

I believe there must be a greater power, yet I also feel that organized religion is hypocritical. Only God, if he exists, can know His true plan. I am not God, and I'm not vain enough to consider myself qualified to know which path out of the hundreds available is the right one... so I make my own. I live a good life. I help others whenever I can.

Besides, a minister, Pope, or shiek is only a man, the same as you. Each has his own interpretation of his own religion's holy text that was also subjected to the interpretations of its writers, teachers, and even translators. Blind faith is not the answer. Truth comes from within.

For once a question where God is just part of the answer! :-)

Spirituality is the devotion to metaphysical matters, as opposed to worldly things. God is defintely part of that, but so is many other things. It also depends on which religion/philosophy you adhere to what being spiritual means.

Spirituality exists perfectly fine in a world without God so the answer is: No, it is not an empty venue...

Buddhists do not believe in God; try telling the Dalai Lama he isn't very spiritual.

Humans are Spiritual Beings. God has nothing to do with it. God is an idea designed by the wealthy and powerful to control the masses and keep themselves in wealth and power. Think for yourself, the answers will come.

Each of us has two bodies. One is the flesh body. The other is the spiritual body. We can never not have God in our lives. You see God owns our souls.

Even a non-believer in God still has a spirituality about him. So I say No to your question.><>

Actually it forces us to accept Universal Truths rather than religious truths that by the way, have done a fantastic job of dividing the peoples of the earth instead of uniting them. If religion focused more on certain traits, this might be a better world to live in; understanding, willingness, openmindedness, kindness.

I don't understand what spirituality without god means. without god you are just a bunch of molecules that happen to form your body. Actually there is no you. the only thing that differentiates between you and a rock are different tipes of molecules in different orders. could a rock have spirituality?

of course not....i'm pretty much a completely godless man and yet i consider myself spiritual. Buddhists do not have a god in their culture buddha is just a man that reached enlightenment and has become a model for buddhism. this bein the case they are still considered highly spiritual. as long as you believe in somethingtangible or otherwise you can be spiritual.

you are very close to realizing the truth. it is absolutely necessary to find your spirituality without God. That is why we are here. our creators saw what they did in making man and new that if man was allowed to share an existence with them, man would eventually devourer them. that is why we cannot find a single living being within hundreds of thousands of light years in any direction. Man will take whatever is there and it is not because of free will. it is GREED
