Not to sound callous, but trading over 1,000 palestinian prisoners for Corporal Shalit seems a little lopsided. Do they really think Israel will agree with these terms, or do you think they're just looking for publicity?

I just read this party started only after Israel attacked in the past.I can not honestly say either party to this bloodshed is right. The state of Isreal wasnt even on the map before 1948, yet the UN/US back them in everything. "Defending themselves" fine, but the muslims were there first, that is historical fact. Everyone says the US is occupying Iraq well I bet the displaced Palistinains feel the same wayabout the "new" state of Israel. They have to pay taxes but are not allowed to own property etc. Isnt this the same reason we just shot off fireworks? To remember a war against oppression?Remember these terrorist factions (as we call them) are also the only people that set up schools, hospitals and everything else for these people. This is such a hard topic with so many angles its just terrible. Goverments from all over have made this situation sooo much worse than it had to be. Sorry if I rambled.

Hey Best Guy!!! What newspaper/website said that the poor soldier being held by Hamas is a murderer? Go check your facts pls. (moron)
(back to question)
I am not sure if the prisoner swap thing is serious (though Hezbollah has been doing prisoner swaps for land or something else since its the 90s). Israel will probably not agree seeing as these groups have a penchant for backstabbing. IMHO it looks like Hamas and Hezbollah need more suicide bombers (no new recruits so prospective ex-prisoners will have to do)...double the reason why a prisoner swap should not be taken lightly.

Not having "best guy's" access to the criminal reports . the answer has to be NO!!!

They know given Isreals history of always retaliating against attacks and always seeming to play by the "You hit me once I'll hit you x3" attitude, there is no way in there wildest dreams could they have thought Isreal would agree.

I see from recent news reports that hezbollah decided to have stage a meeting in a resdential house and then when the Isreal's hit it complained about the civilians in the house that were killed/ injured. If they were that concerned about their own people they shouldn't have had their meeting there!

Just a cynical use of their own peoples bodies to try and get the rest of the world to bring pressure to bear on Isreal.

And before anyone gets upset about this I have interest in Isreal. My comments are purely from an outsider with no alliagance.

Perhaps if the foreign countries left them alone it would be over far quicker!!!!

Hezbollah or Party of God,takes it lead from Iran.Iran is pulling the strings to create this crisis,to take international attention away from their nuclear ambitions. It is a tense and dangerous situation, and the hostage situation is just window dressing.
