Couple clothing 'sets' are very common in Korea, especially when a couple get married. So if you see them in the airport like that there is a good chance that they on their honeymoon.

Couple tee's are most common, but then you get those that go out and get the whole set.

Yeah, girls wear makeup and have their hair done nicely all the time. Im sure I look like a mess in comparison.

Up there two guys... Sorry good guess. but it is not true. hehe

There is rare bulk for 2 shirts sale in Korea. cuz they will not buy it. remember? they buy lables. and if they have chance to buy another one? they will go for a differnt shirt. and clothing is not cheap at all in Korea.

It is kind of trend for wearing clothes as a couple especially young ones and newly married who going on a honeymoon. ( and it is also new trend these days. )
And as asker mentioned the bride and groom are fresh from the wedding ceremony. yes. usually bride and groom are going on a honeymoon right away after ceremony.

I agree with yupgigirl, the "Couple Look" is usually the younger generation. Whereas I don't think you'd ever find individualistic Americans dressing identical, the Korean society encourages expressions of belonging, rather than individuality, and for couples to dress this way is a clear sentiment of this belonging: to "each other."

Also, as a practical note, dressing the same when on vacation makes it much easier to find your partner if you get separated in a crowded airport, especially in Asia where everyone is of similar height and hair color.

I have to agree, first two guys... definitely wrong!

It's a current trend (by current, I probably mean within the last 5-10 years or so) for couples to match outfits. Most couples who do this are either newlyweds or those icky couples who can't do without each other. Parents' generations are less likely to do this, i.e., people in their 40's and 50's. I would say people in their 20's and 30's are most likely to wear this "couple" fashion.

As for the girls in their make-up and hairstyle, they like to dress up. Fashions, trends, fads are very quick in Korea, a lot of younger people follow them religiously and are dressed well to follow them. '

Hope that helps!

I actually noticed that and I don't know why they do that I think it's really pathetic and my parents wound never do that in a million years.

Korean chicks like to look like they are the hottest girls are earth, do their makeup all pretty and hair all nice. Trust me, I'm one, but I'm a cosmetologist/makeup artist.
