I lost mine and I still have the paper copy that I was given that signified that I passed the permit test before my actual permit came in the mail. I would assume the DMV would be the place to go, but not sure about the other details.

Depends which state you live in.

In Alabama if you lose your licenses you have to have two forms of identification to replace your driver licenses. (such as birth certificate, social security card, marriage licenses, old driver licenses, or temporary... etc.) If you lost your permit same rules apply. You can use your permit to as one form of identification.

*It takes 2-3 weeks to receive the licenses in the mail*
The information is saved in the computer so if you passed your permit test it will be there. Just replace it. Go to the DMV and get it replaced. Just browse the net and search your states DMV and look up replacements or just call your DMV. (nearest you)

A replacement is $18.25 in Alabama not sure what state your from so I can't help you there. Hope this is helpful.

just go to the dmv, and show them the paperwork, they will print you a duplicate for less than 20 dollars right then and there.
