I hate them, too, actually, and I try to explain this to the guy I'm seeing and I think he's just insecure about our relationship. Thanks for the input.

Whats the use? it does not feel good for either partner, so I think it is a waste.

I liked giveing and getting hickeys... back in the 7th grade. Now 15 years later, if it is done, it is a place that is very private, small and unpainful. That way it kindda serves of a gentl reminder of a time of love and passion. But it is very rare and only she can see it when naked.
As many people have said in here, boys like 'em and men remember them.

This is not necessarily true with all men but some like to put their mark of acquisition on their partner as a sign of conquest and if it is shown then the party who has the hickey is telling everyone to whom they belong.

I'm a man and i hate hickeys i think they look trashy but most men do it cause they don't trust you and if someone sees that you have one they are less likely to talk to you so they think. So basically there just not confident in them self.

Hickeys are fun but the best ones are the ones no one can see!!!
I'm not into the neck ones they look kind of trashy.

I agree hickey's do look TRASHY!! and I would never let anyone put one on me.....Some people wear them as a badge of honor, but I think it is sooooo UGLY!!!

Lets say your bf gives you a couple of hisckes on your boob. and some other guy the next day is pawing you passionatly; Your bf knows you will keep your shirt on becasue you don't want this guy to see that you are marked by another man. It is a man thing.
