Yes!! My parents made me into the person I am today. They made mistakes, but as a parent now myself, I really respect them, and anything I think they did wrong, I change with my children. If you would have asked me as a teenager, I would have said ' my parents are losers, I hate them, anybody would be better than them' But now as a parent, I understand 'why' they were the way they were, and I have NO FREAKING idea! how they did it!!

Probably not. Is there a perfect parent as such ? Is there a perfect human being ? Even if there is he will be less perfect in this unperfect world. Unless you can have both. Therefore i will take my chances, and determine my own destiny and not blame "others" even if it were my parents. The second we point our fingers, it lessen our will power to get on with our life And anyway, just a biblical anecdote, Jesus's grand parents were not all of pure breed either. Considering there is even a prostitute.

My parents and I have been through a lot together, especially when my brother died, and it was tough but yes I would pick them all over again if I could! I would because I know that no matter what they love me more than anyone else in the world, except of course my hubby and daughter!

Im not sure. unlike the rest of you, my parents didnt make me what I am today, my friends did, and the things I did learn from my parents are things I wish I wasnt. I would rather have someone else to love me because my parents dont(enough)... but I guess I got them for a reason. they HAVE taught me what not to do as a parent and I have decided what I do and dont want to do as an adult.

HELL NO! There is no chance that I would ever pick my parents. My parents were abusive welfare rats. I was in foster homes for about a year after my father tried to kill me and my siblings twice. My mother took him back and then finally left him after it came out that he had molested my oldest sister for over 8 years.

No such possibility may be considered. Each one is a unique combination of genes. Simply put in different words; its either the parents who conceived you or none at all.

I would not be me if my parents had been someone else. I wouldn't change a thing. I am what I am. I am who I am. I have the power to be whoever I want to be.
