oh,yes, you can get alot of the popular candy bars fried. They are dipped in a batter and fried. Also Twinkies! Talk about clogging the arteries, huh?! They are often sold at fairs.
Blame the Scots, they started it! Here is a recipe for mars bars, but I'm sure you can substitute Snickers. Then go for a long jog!

Fry in hot oil until golden brown (just a few minutes).
Remove from oil and drain.
Top with powdered sugar or caramel sauce if desired.

They deep fry candy bars, twinkies, bananas, Oreos, all kinds of silly things! I think it started at carnivals and fairs, and I've seen it at beach boardwalks, downtown Las Vegas, ...it's everywhere. Basically they dip the thing in a batter, something like pancake or waffle batter, and deep fry it for a very short time, probably less than a minute. Then they even top it with powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, or ice cream! Yuck. I saw it demonstrated on tv.

there is this restaraunt (i think in New York) that deep fries everything from twinkies to pizza! I think all you have to do is batter up a snickers bar as you would for anything fried and fry it up?

I think 'nickipettis' above is right. I remember hearing something on the local news about it. It was one of those weird human interest stories that they do before ending the local news.
