I have a serious question that I need help with?

Why does it seem that all country's that are predominently Muslim behave so violently and intolerant to other's as well as their own? I am curious. I am not trying to be rude or anything but I have notices that it just seems that way, Notice I said Seems. I saw a picture that showed a 8 year old boy getting his arm crushed by a car tire because he stole, they did not say what he stole but the law of Islam demanded he have this done. Was this extreme or the norm? do they fight within as well as without? it just does not strike me as a peaceful religion.

The Muslims of the Arabian Nations live in harsh conditions. They take thier codes seriously, as we Christians do.

The crushing of the arm is a normal thing for them.

When I was in Turkey, many years ago, they told us before we hit the Country that there were certain rules we had to observe...

If you steal, they will cut off your hand. (for the first offence).
Kill some ones kid, by accident, then you had better adopt a kid right away, so that they can kill yours!! (or you forfeit your life).

Life over there is insignificant, as its such a harsh land, and living and dying is a way of life for all of them. Remember, those who have little, will have more faith in what they believe. Those who have a lot, and pampered, (like we Americans), will just "play around" with religion and not be serious about it, until a disaster strikes!

This is the most common misconception of the American viewpoints. Islam is a worldwide religion and there are approx. 1 billion followers of this religion, many of which are located in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Voilent tensions associated with the middle east and the media's portrayal of it has nothing to do with Islam but rather social and political influences of the Region. The holy Qu'ran also teaches love and kindness towards others of different religions and outlaws voilence. Here is a verse of the qu'ran that prohibits violence,

Simply because Arabs fused Islam with their Arab culture. Also many of their laws are based on hadiths, however many of the hadiths are in conflict with the Quran. For instance:

1: Hadith say adulterers must be stoned to death BUT the Quran says that they should be whipped (not to death). This punishments must serve as humiliation.

2. Hadith (and mis interpretations of the Quran) say kill apostates and infidels BUT the Quran says: " There shall be no compusion in religion." . Meaning that no one should be forced to believe Islam.

3. I've read about the "cutting off" of a thief's hand. The Quran says "CUT their hands" NOT "cut off their hands". This means that the thief's hands must be cut or marked. This would serve as an indication that the person cannot be trusted and people must be wary.

4: Hadiths talk about 72 virgins. There is no 72 virgins in the Quran. The Quran mention "HUR". In other verses in the Quran the word "HOURI" is used to describe virgins. Today scholars are not sure what the word means.

So you see, Just as christianity was corrupted and used for personal gained, islam is being corrupted.

My grandfather fled Iraq 60 years ago. He told me that most theives would in fact have their arm cut off with a sword or machete'.

Know this however, The muslim religion is not responsible for these attacks. Most of the people inside the muslim faith are in fact peaceful and very easy to love people. I know several and they are all rather nice.

The crazy people known as fanatics are responsible for all the fighting and hatred there. Becuase the fanatics act so often and so insanely normal people had to become involved in the conflict. This slowly made fanatical anti-fanatics and the cycle goes on.

It is not a peaceful religion. The Muslim book, the Koran teaches that all non-believers should be put to death by the sword. It says believers in the Holy Trinity are "equal to excrement". True Muslims believe this. Don't believe people when they say it is not a violent culture. It most certainly is!

Read the historical counts of the Muslims/Moors. There is no peace among its people.

I was just wondering. Only a few minutes ago, I thought of the same. But, fearing that I may be killed, I have not asked this question.

Not only in punishing the people, but also when it comes to their lifestyle (not all...but majority of muslims), they were very rude against their women, against their business competitors etc..etc..

Also, their kind of business...smuggling, killing animals and making leather products, killing animals and selling them as food...thieving the products from someone else...evading government taxes, popullating their community and making a colony and create a lawlessness....

In India, particularly, they dont follow any of the laws. They follow their own laws. They create lots of problems. The Indian government is not doing anything about this.

most middle east religions have severe penlties for people that break their religious laws. the same is in the old testament. such as for thivery the offending hand it cut off as a reminder and hopefully the end of that persons sining in that fashion again. also tells other people that the person is a thisf and need to watch their pruses around the marked sinner.

Islamic law or any law is just like a sign board .it will show only where to go. but the sign board won't carry you to the destination. another example. the law is like a mirror. if you stand in front of a mirror it will show wheather you put on shirt nealty. if not the mirror con't itself correct you. in the same way , what islam missing is a SAVIOUR who can dwell in a person and bring a transfermation in him. at last, if a person is NOT PEACE with his GOD ,it is IMPOSSIBLE to peace with others.

I'm a muslim, madam. I should tell you cutting sb's hand with car!!!! is not punishment said in Islam specially for an 8 year old boy! According to my knowledge about Islamic judgement, the punishment of non-adult people are called TA'ZIR, and should be decided by the judge according to the situation. But I think that that picture you have seen with the followed explanation were made by anti-islam journalists!!....... OK! if you say, no, you are sure about the correction of that photo, come to my country Iran or any Islamic country, and you can see adult theives in prisons and the child ones in places which are made especially for training them but you can see all their hands are in their own places not cut by car or anything like that!!!!
The rule of cutting hands for theives was for 1400 years ago, since stealing was so general and the leaders to frighten people use these things, despite these, it was again for adults not children. Nowadays some people are misusing old rules of Islam to show Islam bad to ignorant people. But the person who educate him/herself with reading never cares about their actions. They want you and people like you to care about these things and forget their supporting of Israel. Israel Nucluar weapons have no problem for the world, bur Iran peaceful energy using should be decided by U.S. Think of that???? then you'll see the muslims are the most being harmed people.
Bush is supporting Israel killing palestinain & Lebanese children, and he's christain, can I say Christianity is violent??? or jewish people are violent?? No, I never say such things , since I know Jesus & Moses (peace be upon them) had never preached things like that. Their religion is made by God and he doesn't like violence among their creatures. So I remain believed to those religions and I ignore any bad comments about them. as I know my religion is the completion of those religions. and I can see Muslims, Christians, Jewish, and Zardioshti people living in my country with peace and happines and neither of them hate each other , and they do respect one another. But I can see what limits are made for muslims in western countries. therefore, it's my question: should I say christianity & jewdism preaches race and national fanatism???
Basically, everything depends on the believe and knowledge of people about what's happening around them??
