Its really nice to see people who are more mature than the person who asked the question. Why single out Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons? They are religions and therefore deserve no more criticism and skepticism than other beliefs. If someone is an "Ex-JW", they have obviously done something very bad and were asked to leave against their will; so they would be mad, and probably more likely to make up any story rather than try to think up something weird to tell you. Good day everyone :)

"Missy" are you and "ex JW?"
Maybe someone would like to know why there are "ex JW's"
Some of the offenses that could merit disfellowshipping from the Christian congregation are fornication, adultery, homosexuality, greed, extortion, thievery, lying, drunkenness, reviling, spiritism, murder, idolatry, apostasy, and the causing of divisions in the congregation.
Has your minister, priest or religious leader mentioned this wonderful hope to you? Of course they have not, most clergymen say nothing about it. In fact, many do not even believe the Bible. This is an important reason why Jehovah’s witnesses call at the homes of people of other religions.
The efforts of Jehovah’s witnesses to approach people in public and at their homes are rooted in the Word of God. Jesus himself went directly to the people, and he instructed his apostles and disciples to do likewise.
The Witnesses’ beliefs, based entirely on God’s Word, the Bible, prevent them from falling into the trap of becoming a sect or a cult. They take a kindly interest in all other people, of whatever religious persuasion. No, they do not try to force these people to change their viewpoint. They endeavor to imitate their Leader, Christ Jesus, by presenting Scriptural evidence of the trouble-free Paradise that will soon be established on earth.—Matthew 28:19, 20; 1 Peter 2:21.

How many former religionists turn around and attack their former brothers? The Scriptural principle is interesting:
(Matthew 24:48-51) But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, and will punish him with the greatest severity
(Romans 16:17) Now I exhort you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.
(2 Thessalonians 3:6) Now we are giving you orders, brothers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the tradition you received from us.
Contrary to the lies of anti-Witnesses, it is quite possible to become inactive in the JW religion without becoming disfellowshipped. As long as one's lifestyle does not bring reproach upon the congregation, and as long as one does not advocate one's disagreements with the religion, the congregation has no interest in "investigating", exposing, and disfellowshipping an inactive former Jehovah's Witness.

I'm Catholic, being a minor still, and have a queer story or two. Just because Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses practice differently from what you're used to doesn't give you the right to stereotype them. Please, get over yourself.

No...but friend of mine had Michael Jackson (body guards and all) come to his house in Woodland Hills, CA. to "witness" to him in the early 1980's...very strange.
I have a sign that reads "Every third Jehovah's witness will be shot!...the second one just left"
