If you go to Northern China, now is a good time. I would avoid South and East China now. It's very hot and they've had a lot of rain, which only serves to increase the humidity.

Generally, I would go to North China in summer and South China in the winter. Remember China is a huge country and you can find almost any weather at any given time.

For some vacation time or work? China is okay these days, I do not think it is a bad idea to go to China now. I am here as I write this. I had been working here for more 2 years already. :)

Not a bad idea. It's a great idea to go to China now. Check the weather first. Depends which region... Asia is somewhat hot and humid during summer.

It is a good time for going to China because in August the weather is really clammy and hot. You gonna be all wet when you are even walking.

RIGHT now it is pretty hot. I will escape this oven on Sunday.
But will be coming back at the end of August.
No reason not to come to China.

Yes, it is a very bad idea.

China is safe....but what repercussions await you upon your return to your homeland?

WIll that stamp in your passport brand you as being less than trustworthy and patriotic?

I can't imagine why. I've been living here for 6 years. It's very safe, it's still fairly cheap, and there are some amazing sights here.
