I mean... don't they have minds of their own? Just because their "organazation" says it, does that make it true? It is very sad that someone can be brainwashed like that. I feel sorry for the children that are brought up in that. I am not saying they are evil..just very mislead..i know a girl who is a witness and she is very nice. But really they act like robots.

There were quite a few people last year 2005 that would not agree with you. You are way off base, if the Church of Christ, Baptist, Catholic, etc, etc, these churchs tell their members what to believe, does that make it true?

Last year 2005, we "brainwashed" as they like to say, 247,631, that became Jehovah's Witnesses and everyone of these had to change their minds pertaining to the false teachings that they had been taught, these were people that used their own Bible, King James, etc., 28,384 were from the United States.

Has your minister, priest or religious leader mentioned this wonderful hope to you? Of course they have not, most clergymen say nothing about it. In fact, many do not even believe the Bible. This is an important reason why Jehovah’s witnesses call at the homes of people of other religions.

The efforts of Jehovah’s witnesses to approach people in public and at their homes are rooted in the Word of God. Jesus himself went directly to the people, and he instructed his apostles and disciples to do likewise.

The Witnesses’ beliefs, based entirely on God’s Word, the Bible, prevent them from falling into the trap of becoming a sect or a cult. They take a kindly interest in all other people, of whatever religious persuasion. No, they do not try to force these people to change their viewpoint. They endeavor to imitate their Leader, Christ Jesus, by presenting Scriptural evidence of the trouble-free Paradise that will soon be established on earth.—Matthew 28:19, 20; 1 Peter 2:21.

I have never sounded like a broken record because there is so much to say, so much of life, and so many diffrent people. Jehovahs people say it from the heart and out of Love. I dont feel sorry for the witnesses kids. I was one of them. Now my son is. I ask him if he feels deprived, he always tells me no. Brainwashed? I think you feel that way because your church tells you to do something and you do it. We all have free will and personal choice. Maybe you need to attend just one meeting and see that the witnesses are totally diffrent than what you seem to think they are. We do out preaching activities out of Love for others regardless if they Love us back or care about us. Knowledge is power, maybe you need to gain some.

I feel sorry for that girl. However, I would never let a Jehovah's witnessess preaches to me. My beliefs are what I believe from life experiences. Too bad some christians are just misbehaving and using God's name for business. Yet, I see some are very successful and get really rich!

Yeah people sticking to the written word can be a problem.
The whole problem facing mankind is simply put: the majority put their opinions above everything else. The Witnesses must subject themselves to what the Bible (God's mind), requires.
Consider this, many people claim to want world peace. Yet, they refuse to subject themselves to the will of God so as to receive it.
Jehovah's Witnesses in every country refuse to participate in warfare. So it follows that if every person on earth converted to JW, the world would be at peace.

Well lets think about what they do. When God told Noah to build the ark God also told Noah that he had to go and warn the people that God was going to flood the earth and they would die. They laughed at him and his family. But Noah kept on building and warning the people. Well the flood water came and it was too late. He did warn them. They did not listen. So I think the JW are doing the same thing Jesus set the example for them to go to door to door. Jesus told his apostles to do the same thing. They are warning the people that the day of God is very near in the future. And many are heeding that warning but many are laughing at the JW just like they did to Noah. I guess the only thing for you to do is just wait and see what happens. Only time will tell. But you can't say that you were not informed.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I find that Jehovah's Witnesses will typically never accept any literature that examines their beliefs (or the claims of the Watchtower organization) from a non-Witness viewpoint.

This is in part because Jehovah's Witnesses have been taught (in the past at least) that the rest of "Christendom" are followers of Satan.

Cordially,
John

I find it sad also. I live in souther Missouri. Every person down hear trys to convert you to their religion which boils down to a difference of -- is it less filling or does it taste great. It is like they only way they can validate their belief is if they can convince a total stranger to believe the way they do. And a short time later when the enthusiasm wears off, they have to convince someone else to convert. To illustrate what I am saying, I had a Bible Thumper try to convert me to the Baptist church. He was a friend so i said okay. He kept trying to convert me even after I asquised.

Jehovah's Witnesses haven't any worry of guy because guy can kill the body, yet God can damage the Soul. (Matthew 10:28) 28 and do not grow to be terrified of those who kill the body yet won't be able to kill the soul; yet particularly be in worry of him that ought to damage both soul and body in Ge?chicken?na. seek for Jehovah & seek for the reality and Be let loose from Christendom.

It's funny how you can spin a religion off of the smallest things. There is a church dedicated to the verse John 3:16, for goodness sake.

It's all about faith, but I rather them not come to my door. The last time one did, I was cooking dinner for my boyfriend (now my husband), and I was afraid it was going to burn because I had fallen asleep. The knock at the door woke me up. I told him I was in the middle of sacrificing a chicken. I have not seen one at my door since then, and I really did end up sacrificing my chicken. I burned it in the oven, so we ended up with pizza.

Sometimes, when I'm on the bus in the morning, I'll get a woody, and then when I come to my stop, it's like "Oh, man, I can't get off this bus like THIS!" So then I think of the Jehovah's witnesses and how they are when they're at my door, and all of a sudden, bam---no more wood!

But uh...to answer your question...yes.
