Yes. And Israel should attack Iran. Let the U.S. military take a break for a change!

I'm not sure if they should or shouldn't, but tensions are escalating with N. Korea testing missiles in the Japan sea AND I really thought something was going to happen when it came out that N. Korea had kidnapped Japanese citizens (and some of them were still being made to live in N. Korea when it came out) the Japanese people were angry over that whole incident. It's just a matter of how much more Japan is going to take their crap.....

North Korea is not a threat to Japan or even to South Korea. North Korea is a starving nation.

Boy, if I were in charge of Japan, and even thinking of an attack, I'd make damn sure that the U.S. was backing me up; Japan is SO close to N. Korea, and Kim Jong Ill is SO nuts that Japan could have a tragedy in no time flat.

How could Japan attack anyone, they have no standing army. The constitution written for Japan after thier surrender in WWII says that they will not have an army, only a defense force. So they are not capable of attacking anyone.

Not right now. They should be building up their military so they could strike them in the future. The time will come, but a potential world war 3 is a little more of a priority right now. Don't worry we'll keep them in mind & when they test a missle in a few years that does work we'l kick them in the nuts real hard with Japan & Australia on our side.

Legally...Japan CANT attack NoKor...their pacifist constitution prevents them from taking military action unless they are attacked first...so unless more mushroom clouds sprout out of Japan soon thanks to NoKor or whether Koizumi gets that provision modified/removed then that aint gonna happen.
Technically...they dont have nukes or smart weapons to go after the really hard and important NoKor military targets. They could invade but their forces arent big enough yet (unless said constitution is changed which can allow for more volunteers or conscripts).
Whether they should...depends on whether the little slitty-eyed puke leading NoKor decides that he is tired of living and decides sending something Tokyo's way.

Why? North Korea has not attacked them yet. Why provoke an attack?

No, it won't happen, The JASDF has no in-flight refueling capability or auxiliary tanks in any case, so they don't actually have the range to do any credible bombing on the peninsula.
