How do they even end up married? I'd like to hear from those who have done it and succeeded.

You never dated anyone you fought with a lot but when you weren't fighting the passion was off the meter? I imagine it's something like that, with professional respect for each other, & not talking politics/business at home (which is healthy for everyone by the way).

They check their political views at the door! I think that would be very exciting to some, knowing that their spouse was an independant thinker and not just going along with the crowd!!

I suppose they are openminded and realize politics are only ideas, not real, tangible things, but a spouse who loves and cares for you is.
Plus, a lot of those pundits only act so polarized for TV.
