My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. She's in a wedding tomorrow. I curled her hair tonight with a curling iron, for the rehearsal, but by the time we got there almost all the curls had fallen out. I used Aqua Net hair spray. But it was 87-90 degrees outside.
Tomorrow it's going to be even hotter. We have to be at the bride's mom's house at 2PM ... the wedding is at 5 ... and the reception is 7:30. Does anyone have any suggestions? Curling iron or curlers? Hair spray? Mouse? Both? What brand? Thanks in advance.

Try using curlers on slightly damp hair. Then spray them like heck with the aqua net (I know it is totally 80's, but hey, it works!) Then after it all drys, take the curlers out and lightly spray again. Fluff the curls with your fingers and gently style. Keep the spray on hand and you should be fine. Keep her out of the heat not only for the curls, but for her safety as well. Best of luck. BW

I used a professional hair spray (from a salon or that type store). Ask them for the strongest hold they have. I use a curling iron in my daughters hair, but hot curlers work best in my thick hair.
PS. The brand name that I used is Sebastian (Shaper Mega Hold hair spray)

Don't wash her hair that day. Wash her hair the day before and no cond. The next day spray with hair spray and section the hair and start curling.

I'd use steam curlers. They held my hair in curls for a long time, and I have very thick hair. Good luck.

try pink sponge rollers and gel her hair before you roll it...but relax, at 2 1/2 she's gorgeous without curled hair. make sure you tell her so, keep the day fun for her, okay?

Even though it's late....wet her hair & roll using sponge rollers. Leave them in until the last possible minute. If she's already asleep, do it as early tomorrow morning as possible. Blow dry her hair while in the rollers.

go to your local 24 hour drug store or super store (like kmart or walmart, etc) and purchase those foam rollers they sell. wet her hair and run a little bit of gell or mousse through it. roll her up and let them dry overnight while she sleeps.
set tomorrow with your aqua net and she should be good to go all day! good luck!
