If you believe that you should witness to this person, then pray to God and ask Him to create an opening for you to bring up the subject. Don't stall when that opening comes, but *don't* jump the gun. His timing is not our timing; God may know the ideal time will be months, or years, from now. He will create the opening in the time He knows is best. Keep praying about this, and listen to His voice.

I just share naturally from my daily experience. Like if I'm worried about the war in the Middle east. It would be a natural subject to bring up right now. And then just share why you personally are not worried about it because you trust in God that you are assured of your salvation.
Then let the coworker ask, if they are interested in getting that same assurance. Have faith and allow God to work.. You might only be a person who plants a seed. Then plant more seeds as they come up. Share about a healing, or something the Lord did for you, as they come up naturally over time. Trust the Lord and commit the person to prayer often. Let the hunger in them grow.
If they are ripe for the picking they will respond to your sharing.

work your evangelism into an answer to some question. Sometimes the best approach is a direct approach, though. Don't ever be afraid of the truth. The holy spirit is giving you the urge to talk, remember when you walk with God, you are protected. The worst he can be is uninterested, or non-receptive.

Ask him "do you think you are a good person?".... this will help tell you if he is open to talking about spiritual things... depending on his response... you could lead him through the 10 commandments and then into things such as judgment, and grace... good luck to you...
p.s. there is rarely one of those "golden moments" when someone will come out and say "how do I get saved?"... as believers we need to be bold and willing to risk rejection or an unpleasant response... however you choose to go about it, season it with prayer and the Lord will be with you giving you strength and words that come from above.

Ask him this' Hey! What do you do on ur days off or on Sundays?
It works 50/50 for me. Some say quickly that they don't go anywhere special and that's when I mention church or prayer meeting invitation. Make sure it's asked on ur meal break. Some Job policies see this as soliciting or harassment but I pray that you will be fine!
May God Bless you!
Shalom

The perfect solution is to order you some tracts by writing to :
The Tract League
2627 Elmridge Drive NW
Grand Rapids, Michigan
49544
then carry them with you at work and when you take a break, put one in the restroom where he'll be sure to find it or read it while on break and let him ask what you're reading, or while in the breakroom say to him, wow this is interesting. then take it from there

Just wondering - couldn't you just mention things like -
"hey i read something like that in my bible the other day"
like planting a seed -
maybe they'll ask you something more about it -
otherwise you did do you're part and open the door!
That's really all you can do!
Of course pray that their heart will be open for it - or just pray for them!

I know exactly what you're talking about because I've been there, and done that. You could tell him what God has done in your life, and see where it goes from there, if you feel uncomfortable just asking him what he believes, or something like that.

I don't think you should. You don't know anything about this guy. If someone accosted me at work about my religion, I would think you were out of line and the topic inappropriate. His life is none of your business. If he wants religion, he has his pick of churches. It is his decision, and it is not your place to push it.
