By old enough, I mean legally by in your state, province or country. In Canada its 18, they can help you find your biological parents if possible. If your mentally ready by 18, thats another story and really depends.

I definitely would. I would want to know where I came from, why I had some of the traits and looks that I have, etc. Even if I were to find out they were losers or bad people. At least I would know. I wouldn't be able to live with not knowing.

I am legally adopted by my daddy. I never met my father and probably never will.
There was a point with me where i said you know what it doesnt matter if I meet them or not. They will not ever be my family. It seemed impossible for anyone to erase all of the "firsts" my dad was there for. All of the scrapes and scratches he doctored. The school meetings, plays open houses, track meets and volleyball games. All of the times i was sick and when i cried who was there my daddy. when i thought about it my FATHER could try from now on and NEVER come close to being MY DADDY.
I have all i need or want right here.

Yes I would. It would be interesting to find out your biological background. It would be good for medical reasons. I would like to meet my biological parents but I wouldn't want to become too close. You each already have your lives and sometimes getting too close can complicate things.

Children are a gift to parents .A child is automatically in need of their biological parents so any age is old enough. It will be emotional at any time.

I think I would like to meet my parents..... just to know who they were, what my heritage was, etc. However, I'd only do so if I got some background info. and if they actually wanted to see me. (If my mother- for example- was a drunk and my father died in a drunk-driving accident, I wouldn't want to know them.) However, in either case, I'd still consider my step-parents (if they were nice) as real parents-after all, they would have raised me. (No, I'm not adopted.)

Yes. My mother was adopted and she found her mother 25 years ago before there was any help from FACS/adaption agencies etc... It was the best thing she did for herself... it answered a lot of nagging questions she had including health related Q's...

And one of the most important things it did was stopped first cousins from marrying...
