I believe there probably was a person of that name who had a teaching and followers. I'm not sure how much of that original teaching has reached modern people, though.

To be totally honest, I don't believe in anything. I don't see the point of it.
Do I think Jesus of Nazareth was a real person? I'd say the evidence suggests that this is probably true. Most of the facts after that, though, are wide open to interpretation.

A god or christ named Jesus? NO! But I believe plenty of people have been named Jesus, and I believe some of them are real.

very much so, and so do over 100,000,000 people in the USA alone(at least according to the World Almanac).
Jesus existed historically (it is proven a man by the name of Jesus existed in the same area and time he was supposed to have existed. This is proven by records came by from Roman citizens back in Jesus' time. So he really exists, and still does. He rose from the grave and defeated the Devil and made man acceptable to God through faith in Jesus.

i believe that a radical rabbi named Yeshua might have existed. a lumberjack named Paul Bunyan might have existed too and he might have even had an ox named Babe but i don't believe that Paul could cut down an entire forest with one swipe of his axe. and i don't believe that Yeshua was anything other than a Jewish holy man who got himself tried and executed for sedition after making too much commotion in a town under Roman military occupation. myths often arise out of real events but that doesn't mean the myths themselves are factual accounts of what really happened.
