Population wise, may be not... but looking at it otherwise: are there too many Americans meddling in other people's affairs? Damn right. Are there too many stupid americans (like the 2 who answered before me)? Yes again..

It depends on how you count.

NO THERE'S NOT. The problem is that there are too many ignorant people in the world. What can be done to solve that??

Move to a country ruled by a totalitarian dictator, live there for a few years, try to ask a few more ridiculous questions (or even sane ones, for that matter), get your fanny tossed into prison for asking, wait for the Americans to save your sorry butt and drag it back home to Mom and apple pie, and then ask this same hateful question. If it took them too long to get there and ease your suffering by your standards (which I'm sure wouldn't be past your 2nd lunch of fly-encrusted-mush and filthy water), apparently there aren't enough Americans in this world, are there?

Well, if you mean global distribution, there are quite a few of us mucking about. TSA and Homeland Security are doing a great job of making us shut-ins who never travel, so that will soon not be a problem.

Now if you mean world population, I think our big problem is that there are flat out too many people. Americans, Chinese, Egyptians, Japanese, and everyone else. We really need to practice some kind of population control before we hit carrying capacity and begin to starve. (And by population control, I mean planned parenting, not chemical warfare.)

Is this a problem? Certainly world overpopulation is.
(1 in 20 people is American. 1 in 5 is Chinese and 1 in 6 is Indian. We are a distant 3rd.)
Where are you from?

Americans are only abut 5% of the world's population. However, there are too many Americans minding other country's business, as well as too many minding their neighbor's business. Drugs, perhaps?

I hope not, I want more grandchildren. Hey, I am only 50 & the 7 I have are not enough. My daughter has twins, do I get 2 grandchildren at a time.

You can look for cliff, that is one less. If you are not American, invite your American friends.

There's only about 300 million of us (who knows how many illegals?) Look at India and China with over a billion a piece. Dang!

There's too many trying to rule the world, that's for sure. They should all take their guns and go home.
