I believe for us to live more fruitful lives, we must learn to always forgive those who we feel have wronged us, whether it is ourselves or others. We need not carry such emotional baggages. We are better off just by forgiving because it just feels so much lighter when we do. :)

Forgiving is an essential thing in life for nobody is perfect. You would likewise be forgiven if you know how to forgive. Then the other person would even feel good about it like he or she is given another chance and would have a peaceful life ahead. Forgiving is for both parties and for everyone to see how wonderful it is.

One or two years after the Columbine shootings, I read an article about how forgiving was necessary for people (victims families) to carry on and start the healing process. So I guess that forgiving is actually a "selfish" act, one that you do for you.

Forgiveness is one the best things felt when you are forgiven.

It is one of the hardest things/scary things to do when you are ask to forgive someone.

I choose to always forgive and let go. Life has much more to offer when you are in better moods. and if the person keeps violating your trust or keeps taking you for granted then it's on them. You choose to walk away, why stay?

But take the upper hand and forgive, remember all the times you needed to be forgiven or think of times that you might need it in the future. I always take the sympathetic approach. Kindness. it won't hurt to forgive, it hurts to withold it more than to give it.

I don't really think it is about one or the other, it is about doing what is just and right and true. If you make a mistake you should own up to it, with a sincere heart. People seem to make the mistake of thinking that LOVE is well all of the time. But in order to really LOVE, a person has to be self sacrificing, and patient, and kind, giving, and loyal. Forgiveness is in many ways similar... Pride in a worldly sense is glorified, but in all honesty pride is deceiving many people. Hope this helps♥

Forgiveness sets you free from bitterness, anger and hatred and keeps the lines of communication open between you and God.

Forgiveness gives the person who wronged you a chance to repent and be restored.

They don't always take it, but it still needs to be offered to fullfill God's Great Commission.

I mean the Great Commission of passing on the forgiveness God used to forgive us when we received it from Him.

I had soooo bad experience with my mother in law when we lived in their house. BUT I forgived her because that's what the bible said about it (JESUS said that we should forgive one another because there is none who is perfect) and I think it's good for me too(I had to choose : forgive her or not). Now, I live much better and eventhough I still can't forget it, it won't bring pain in my hear anymore

forgiveness is just a concious effort on your part to let hard feelings toward another person go. Its not about saying what they did is ok, its just about you saying to yourself, "I can't control what you did or what you do. But I CAN control how I react to that and get over how I feel." Never forgive someone to make them feel better. You'll end up with alot of regret on that one. Its about letting something go and not carrying that burden anymore.

It is more important to forgive than carry a grudge.
It is easier to forgive and move on as well. I guess it is for both or just me.. probably me..would not like carry that load around.

FACT: If we do not forgive other's transgressions agains us, God CANNOT forgive our transgressions against others. That's the law. Even He can't break it. Heed the warning. Eternity is a VERY long time.

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.
