Tell your doctor exactly how you feel and what you think you may need. Hold nothing back and if he/she doesn't prescribe or advise you what you feel is correct then tell them.

You are the patient, you know what you may or may not need. Be open and honest.

I deal with mental health issues eveeryday and wish people would put forth the effort and tell their (or our) Dr.s what is making them better or slowing them down. The Medical field aint getting it right all of the time and any help they get can only help you out.

God luck and Godspeed

Some time ago you had a psychotic experience that allows the base of the brain to cross up associations now and cause panic. The depression you have is still the driving force for manic feelings. New drugs are here but I haven't read anyone on here saying they work. The meds are for containing the disorder and reducing confusion for the time being. Good luck as you go through the routines tomorrow

These are all things you need to communicate with your doc. Express to him how you feel and what you feel your needs are. The first time out is always a gamble until you find the exact fit.

You've got quite a cocktail (I do too), so your doc should listen to you and adjust your rx's according, keeping with health guidelines of course.

No. He might not do it though. Just tell him how you are feeling, and ask him when it is going to start helping. Tell him it helps a little, but you are still having those panicky feelings. He will probably either up the dose, or try you on something different.

If the meds your on are not doing what they were prescribed to do then ask your Dr. if he can change your medication. You must have a high tolerance for the drugs so try something new.

2mg xanax is the smallest dose available, docs usually start there.. REMEMBER: you are your primary care giver, and you care more for your wellness than anyone you know, cept maybe your mom. Bring all your concerns to your doc, and be very sure he understands, He is only human but he is humane.. Bipolar sucks don't it...
