6 months isn't too early. No doubt the first day you have to leave your baby you'll be sad and worry that he/she is safe and happy. It gets easier.

Is that you Tammy? LOL

This is a question only you and your family can determine.... Sounds like maybe you feel it might be too early for you! Since you're asking the question, I'm guessing you have hesitations cause you're really enjoying being a mommy! You have to find a scenario that will work best for you. Maybe part-time, maybe not working at all. Maybe you'd consider starting a business of your own so you can spend the time with your baby AND have a career. I quit my job a year ago to stay home with my children (now 2&4). I have a fantastic career with lia sophia jewelry, a direct selling company, so I get to set my own schedule and work around my family's needs and my personal committments. The best of both worlds! Check it out...very fun!

Good point, fire the maid and save money. It is never a good time to leave your child. You became a mommy and that is your job. There is no job out there that can give you the benefits that staying home and being a mommy to your child FULL time can.

BTW-I stay home with my 4 and 1 year old and if I "pawn" them off on somebody they are fine because they know I will be back and they know who they are with.

Enough of this BS about "it's harder on you than it is on the kids" BULL!! :(

This is a question only you and the father can answer. Some people aren't cut out to be full time caregivers, especially if the job was very fulfilling. Maybe nurturing your child isn't enough for you. The time passes quickly, though and you may look back with regret on what you'll miss.

No it isnt. This is a phase that all mothers go through. The earlier you leave your child, the better, this is so they can adjust and aadapt. Once they are comfortable with the fact that you are always there the whole day, it makes it more difficult, as they will cry etc. due to the adjustment.

Dont worry too much... you are normal as we all have the same fears.

Do you need to work? If not, then stay home, why did you have the baby in the first place, to pawn it off on your in-laws? And no, we do not expect the maid to babysit, big no no there mom. Enjoy this child, it will only be little once.

Stay with your baby unless it is absolutely necessary, financially. There is a saying that is so very true," A child is only a MOMENT, hold on to that moment, for it NEVER comes again. Also try to find the poem that talks about rocking your baby, and ignoring the cobwebs....it ends saying "babies don't keep''. Value and enjoy your precious infant.

Why not wait until your child is in school to go back to work? You could save money by firing the maid.

Yes and No.Yes, because your child will be OK with your in laws with the help of maid. And no, if you want to spend more time with your child and be with him in his growing time.Ideally, I think mother should take care of their child and at least for the first yr of his life.
