Yeah, isn't it always the same thing with the Islamic militants? Every time something like this happens Iran or some other Islamic country cries "you're attacking Islam!" You know what- get over yourselves! The rest of the world has moved on from letting religion rule our every move. At times i feel for the Palestinians because they have a right to exist just as Israel does, but GEEZ! Get over the Islam thing! One thing is a fact, that Israel can kick any of those nations back into the stone age- and the US may be bogged down in Iraq- you can't very well fight someone whose tactics are to Knock down the WTC and then run and hide, or fight someone who uses car bombs and roadside bombs and run and hide- but the US can kick Iran's butt too! You know shut up about the Islamic jihad thing until you can stand up and fight without acting like cowards! Sure we should be worried because sooner or later one of these so called "militants" will do the same thing in the US that happens all the time in Israel. It won't be a nation with an army we have to fight- it'll be the sneak, sneak, sneak tactic into the US with a nuclear weapon. Then what can we do?

I could be wrong, but I very much doubt that Israel has any interest in attacking Syria, and Syria doesn't seem to have much interest in helping Lebanon out.

I bet this thing blows over in a few days. I very much doubt we'll see WWIII.

Although, if one were a conspiracy theorist, one might think that Israel was deliberately beating up on Lebanon, trying to get Syria involved, so that Iran would threaten Israel just enough that Israel would have at least a fig leaf's worth of justification for going over and bombing the h*ll out of Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities.

Islam v. Christianity would not happen if Israel and Lebanon (Syria, Iran, whatever...) attacked each other. It would be the unspoken was that is already going on, has been going on since Isaac and Ishmael, Judaism v. Islam.
If a WWIII happened to come of it, it would be Judaism v. Islam, and whatever Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism (whoever else wants to get involved), side with.

Nothing justifies taking hostages ... bombing Lenanon and killing 50 and injuring 100+ innocent people does not justify the lives of only 2 hostages, who are most likely alive.

I don't think it's real cool for Israel to blow up Lebanon, just to weed out a group seperate from that government.

I'm just real sick of this whole war thing. Wish they'd get it over with so the rest of us can live in a more harmonious world.

I got to say, yeah im getting kinda worried. Not because of the fact that it would be a "holy war" but because of the fact that we are already in a war in Iraq, have issues going on in Iran and Afghanistan, a crazy sicko shooting off missles in Korea and now this on top of it all. It's a good possibility that we may just be heading for a WW III we can only hope that it don't happen.

I don't think it's a war against islam in general, it is already a world war against fundamantalist Muslims, that small brainwashed islamic group who think they are heroes by creating chaos and fear around world.
I am a muslim lebanese and I am against syria and iran and their ideology. they are using islam to excercise their political control for their own economic interest. They have been sucking the lebanese economy for a long time, and spreading frear, chaos and garbage in the country.

it is of lebanon interest as well as the contries targeted by terrorism, if syria and iran are weakend. the anti-syrian goverment that emerged after the assassination of PM Hariri will have a chance to grow stronger and spread democracy. to add here, this goverment is supported by the U.S and represent all religions.

A world war 3 is very probable, especially that N. Korea is provoking the international community as well. In my opinion, The G8 summit represent an alliance against islamic fundamentalism, terrorism groups, dictatorial countries like iran, syria, PLO, N. Korea.
it is in the G8 coutries' best interest if they started the war before those terror countries do. It will be easier to isolate them one by one instead of leaving them grow stronger and more technologically advanced with nuclear weapons.

the answer to the question is that Israel, besides as Lebanon, and the Palestinians, ought to not be bombing anybody. Hamas, Hizbollah, and the thousands of alternative terrorist agencies get their funding from a kind of elements, such as our good and attractive allies in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Royal kin isn't any chum of the U. S., or the West, regardless of what Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice tells us. Why ought to the folk of Syria and Iran struggle through for anybody's sins, such as the folk of Lebanon and Gaza. The governments of Iran, Syria, and Israel opt to be held responsible: the present leaders are the sinners. Bombing and killing civilians continually backfires, and the present powers-that-be in Israel, Syria, and Iran pays for it, as leaders like them have continually executed in the previous. those countries opt to apply guns and wars because the favourite type of international kin individuals. it really is time for the international to be formally unwell and bored to death in the hijinks of Hamas, Fatah, the Israelis, and the elements of funding and help for those people. even as the international ultimately tells those gamers "adequate, no extra guns help, no extra economic help, no extra diplomatic help", then we are able to work out some serious substitute.

Very likely. As somebody said, don't worry about Israel, God will take care of the matter.

America however - God has removed his protective hand on this nation, a nation who decided it no longer can tolerate God in the classrooms nor in government offices and allowing the likes of the ACLU to destroy Christianity while embracing Islam.

America is in big trouble, and China will patrol our streets while Islam takes over.

Yes but I place my worry at the foot of the cross and let God take care of it. So many times in the past He has kept crazies from detonating nuclear weapons and protected us all from the fallout.

I trust Him now. If this is the end than I am ready and I'm making sure that my kids are too.
