I have a 2000 VW Jetta and when I bought it, the radio/cd player worked, and one day, I was driving it, listening to the radio and all of a sudden it quit... The cd player still works, but not the radio.. What could be the problem????

It happens, stereos just malfunction, try checking the wiring, or just replace the stereo. Don't buy it at the dealer. Ebay is much cheaper. If you want the same exact one. But you can always get an aftermarket one.

if you're getting sound when the cd player is playing, yet not when in the "radio" function...then your stereo is shot. or, perhaps the antenna lead (wire) is not connected.

It sounds to me like you have a loose wire, that can cause a short, not allowing your radio to play. You can repair it yourself, but better off getting an auto shop to repair it.
