It doesn't say the word Rarture anywhere in the Bible but does speak of 2 in the field 1 is taken and the other left, or 2 at the mill 1 is taken and 1 left.
This is what they mean when speaking of the Rapture

well if you mean the exact date of the rapture, then no, it is not foretold, no one except for God knows of this date. but what it will be like is foretold in the Bible. this happens in the book of Revelation, check it out sometime

There's not going to be a rapture! The early church never taught the rapture.
Yes it says the saints will meet Christ in the air but this speaking of His return to earth & the saints (christians) meet Christ on His way here. They come down with Him. Kinda like if you meet someone at the airport you wouldn't stay at the airport.

Revelation 3:10-11 is “Because you have kept my admonition to endure steadfastly, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come on the whole world to test those who live on the earth”

This is the closest thing to what people are calling the rapture

It is illustrated throughout the old and new testaments. Over thousands of years it has been prophecied. The Bible is more obscure as to when this will happen though. It is spoken of that we will know the 'season' but not the day or the hour. It also warns repeatedly to be prepared because it will happen as a thief in the night, or as a bride anxiously waiting for a surprise visit from the bridegroom to take her to her wedding.

It is foretold as THEY saw it in THEIR time. If we today, were to send a simple TV set back in time to the Biblical era, and have it pop up before.....say.....Eziekel.....and ZING!!!!....it vanishes/returns to our time. How do you think he'd write what he saw for a minute in his book of Revelations?

Well, suffice to say, we'd read his description of that TV set....and ponder on for years just exactly WHAT it was he saw.

I'm of the belief that God does grant some with the ability of prophecy. HOWEVERRRR.....the future is NOT set; prophecy merely is God's gift to help allow us to change what is needed so we DON'T make that prophecy a reality.

Meeting Him in the air is foretold.........

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

NO
Check this:
2Peter:; 5 and he did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people; 6 and by reducing the cities Sod´om and Go·mor´rah to ashes he condemned them, setting a pattern for ungodly persons of things to come; 7 and he delivered righteous Lot, who was greatly distressed by the indulgence of the law-defying people in loose conduct— 8 for that righteous man by what he saw and heard while dwelling among them from day to day was tormenting his righteous soul by reason of their lawless deeds— 9 Jehovah knows how to deliver people of godly devotion out of trial, but to reserve unrighteous people for the day of judgment to be cut off, 10 especially, however, those who go on after flesh with the desire to defile [it] and who look down on lordship.

The "pattern for ungodly persons of things to come", clealy shows beyond any doubt that God does not "need" to evacuate the earth to destroy the wicked.

At some point we are going to meet Christ in the air. 1 Thessalonians, Matthew & Rev. 3:10 talks about this. I am not sure at what point that will be, but yes it talks about a "gathering together to meet him in the air".
