I have not seen any tanks or heavy artillary from the Lebanese nor Palestinians. Their homemade rockets are so weak. It is pretty much total domination by the Israeli military as their government buildings and airports are destroyed by warplanes and such. Guess being oppressed for decades will do that to your military forces.

Lebanon is fully supplied by their parent state Syria, who is in turn backed by Russia, as is Iran. Last I've seen one Israeli tank tried to cross into Lebanon to assualt a possition from which a VERY powerful rocket battery (katusha rockets are 122mm wide & carry 150-200 pounds of explosives & have been mounted with chemical weapons & fired into Israeli neighborhoods) was being fired, but instead hit a mine killing the crew & a firefight was underway to recover the bodies. If and when Israel invades Lebanon with tanks, Syria will come to their aid as they've stated, Israel will then bomb the crap out of Syria as they've stated, then Iran will attack Israel with medium range missiles, and Isreal will then attack Iran, then it might or might not expand beyond that. Syria & Iran by the way have significant chemical weapons stockpiles (why you think Iraq had theirs in 91), and Israel doesn't admit to but does have nuclear weapons which they will use if they are about to be overrun or chemical weapons are used against them.
Anyway, war is NEVER supposed to be fair. Anybody that wants a fair fight is a moron. You want to be massively more powerful than your enemy & blast them to hell as quickly & violently as possible so as a few people as possible get killed in a quick war. We'll see what happens, but it is seriously crazy over there.

Wow, where to start?
First of all, Palestinians do not really have a military. They are not really even a true country/nationstate, and even if they were, they would not have the resources to maintain a standing army.
Lebanon, on the other hand, does not get nearly as much funding as Israel does... The US donates MILLIONS to Israel.
Israel is not stupid. They know they are surrounded by their enemies and a tank could cross the widest part of Israel in 20 minutes. Therefore, they specifically build and maintain and train their army to deal with this fact of life, and its why military service is MANDATORY in israel.
They buy the best equipment, train extremely hard, and are now quite experienced in dealing with their neighbors militarily. Look at the conflicts in the 70's. They rolled over the combined militaries of three neighbors. Its not just that Israel v. Lebanon is lopsided... Israel badly outmatches any surrounding nationstate.

Yes, but their homemade rockets aren't being fired at tanks. They're finring them at settlements, at civillians. That's not a war, that's a weak attempt at genocide.
I really admire Israel. After World War Two, they set up in an area with enemies on every side, and managed for years to fight off attacks from hordes of enemies with more modern equipment and winning every time. In Golan, they annihilated then-modern M-60 Patton tanks with WWII-era Shermans... on paper, they didn't even have a snowball's chance. Now, they've gone from Underdog to Top Dog. Almost brings a tear to my eye.
I hope that Hezbollah and those other groups eventually realize that they simply cannot beat Israel. Unfortunately, most of them are thoughtless zealots anyway.

It is not the Lebanese that caused this, it is a religious factor and Palestinians (who can never be happy getting their way) that started all of this, and just as Al-Qaeda did with us, they were stupid enough to attack people that have all the weapons. The Hezbollah is using Lebanon as teh battleground, and teh Isrealis would love to kick them out of Lebanon, but the Arab world will not allow it.

Ok you see the stupidity and cowardice of terrorism. I really think they want to be oppressed so they have something to fight about. Israel gives them chance upon chance and they just suicide bomb innocents. And you wanna try to defend this? What would you do if someone drove by your house every now and then and shot at your house. Would you just take it?

We should be so lucky to enjoy the nationalism that they have for our country - I was wondering why I was reading a few days ago that people were on their way back to Isreal from all over the world.
War - in the west Isreal didn't start it. Your more than welcome to post from your country where they did in a source.
